    B&T Beginning – Chapter 11

    “What the hell were you thinking Bette bringing him down here, Connelly’s lawyer came to my house this morning and he was really pissed,” Michael said the moment Bette came in that morning.

     

    “I’ll handle this Michael, just stay out of this okay and let me handle it.”

     

    “No, Bette.  You have done enough.  I want you to go home and take the rest of the day off.” Michael demanded.

     

    “What? No, Michael…” Before Bette could finish Michael approached her and put his hand on her shoulder to calm her down.

     

    “Bette calm down, trust me.  I’ll handle this okay.  I want you to go home and take the rest of the day off.  Go spend some time with Angelica okay?”

     

    “That son of a bitch in there killed my wife Michael and you expect me to sit at home and do what?!”  Bette said losing her temper.

     

    “Bette, listen to me.  You won’t get anything out of him if you’re angry.  I know it’s hard for you.”

     

    “You don’t know anything Michael.  You don’t know how it feels to lose a wife, someone that you love so much.” 

     

    “No, I don’t.  Let me talk to Connelly’s lawyer and talk to few more people and I’ll let you know as soon as I get some information okay, I promise you’ll be the first to know.”

    Even though Tina had been spending all her time at Bette’s house, she hadn’t asked Tina to move in yet and Tina knew exactly why. As much as she loved Bette she didn’t’ want to push her. She wanted to give her some times.  When Tina and Angelica reached their house that afternoon Bette was sleeping on the couch holding Julie’s file.  She looked so exhausted and tired. Tina was sure that she hadn’t eaten anything since that morning.  She slowly removed the file from Bette’s hand and woke her up.

     

    “Babe, wake up.”

     

    “Tee?”

     

    “Yeah, it’s me baby.  What are you doing here?  Are you feeling sick?” she said with concern while touching Bette’s forehead.

     

    “No” Bette rose from her couch and sat next to Tina.  “Michael let me take the day off.”

    2. Sea..Hun you need to try to control bettes temper and soon.that was the best thing for bette she was too closed to the case,and who is Lucy??? maybe julie can calm bette down and then go home to her family where she belongs.keep them safe,please..post soon,please

    4. ah the plot thickens…who the heck is Lucy? Too bad for Bette though, I know she desperately wants to figure out what really happened to julie so she can move on with Tina…we’ll have to wait and see, PPS

    8. I am enjoying this story also. I like Bette being in law enforcement. I think Lucy hit Julie..maybe she was paid to or forced to by Peter. Ooooh how the plot can thicken!! It will be interesting to see who Lucy is…and I really want to know how old Angelica is supposed to be. Julie died 7 years ago, on a night they were supposed to take A to a movie??? and Angelica seems to remember Julie..yet she seems to be very young now, maybe 7 or 8….which doesn’t fit the history! More soon…

    9. Hey Search, I just shouted NOOOO!! at the screen. This cannot be happening. Bette needs to resolve Julie’s death before seh can fully commit to Tina. It is sweet how loving and understanding Tina is being. I want these gals to get throught this and build a new life together. Please continue soon. Many thanks, A Fan.

    10. I’m going with either Lucy is Julie’s sister, or she is actually the one that killed her by accident. In which case Bette is going off all half cocked for nothing,which may end up causing more trouble than good. Our girl so needs to control her temper, she has Angelica and now Tina to think about.
