“Tina!”
Startled, the young woman suddenly lifted her head.
“Are you going to share with me what is preoccupying you so much?”
“Nothing!” Tina reassured as she stared at her cold breakfast; eggs Benedict, toasts she had only taken one bite out off and a half drunk cup of coffee.
Looking above his glasses, John Kennard was observing his daughter with a certain degree of worry.
“Why aren’t you eating?” He asked, resting back on the table the salmon coloured financial newspaper he had been reading. He dragged his chair closer to where his daughter was seating. He was tall and slim, his once blonde hair was now grey and his eyes were of the same shade of hazel as Tina’s. He was wearing his favourite golf outfit for his regular Saturday golf game with his three lifelong friends.
“Tell me,” He insisted softly, “You have been back a week now and you have done nothing but drag yourself around here. Are you sick?”
“No, no, I’m not. I’m just not hungry is all.” Tina replied, pushing her plate away from her.
John Kennard’s eyes narrowed slightly behind his expensive bifocals. He was not at all convinced by Tina’s explanation.
“You haven’t been out with your friends either.” He probed further.
“I don’t really want to see them.”
“Well, I can understand that!” Tina’s father carried on, letting her know once more what he really thought of his daughter’s idle acquaintances. “I hope Eric is not to blame for this because believe me when I say that he really is not worth the effort.”
Tina rolled her eyes at the mention of her ex. He had tried to contact her on a couple of occasions since her return. But following a particularly insisting attempt, Tina had let him know without any doubt what she thought of him… useless, stupid, superficial, immature… She was quite sure now that he had got the message and was rid of him for good.
No.
Tina knew what was on her mind.
It wasn’t so much what but who.
Bette.
Her mind had been full of Bette ever since she had left the other woman that morning.
She hadn’t been able to stop thinking about her, hadn’t been able to stop going over and over their time together… especially their time together the night before she left.

Another great catchup my dear friend..Thats a crafty NC17..Tina reminiscing her
treasured moments with Bette in the chalet….But I liked it.
I like that Bette is still teasing Tina and I look forward to Bettes explanation as
to what she does for a living….Architect…Builder…Property Magnate…Entrepenure.
Hopefully we will find out in the next chapter which I am sooo looking forward to.

Nice chapter kins, I had to go back and finish the last chapter as I didn’t realize that I didn’t finish it. Love the tenderness in Chapter 5 and here we are with Tina still experiencing the aftershocks of that. She is a bit testy in having the woman she’s been dreaming of sitting there in front of her. I love the low key attitude of Bette as she watches and listens to T rant and rave.
Tina is so flustered with her emotions and desires towards Bette, its very humorous!

I love this story. Although Tina appeared to be shallow in the beginning, I think she has grown a lot. I can understand her anger towards Bette, especially if she was cold with her the next day and is hiding things from her. Bette’s behaviour doesn’t reassure her in any way, she’s even afraid of being mocked. Hope to see an honest chat!

Hope the computer problems are a thing of the past. This is my second attempt at commenting. For some reason my first attempt was thrown out so I hope I’m not about to have technical problems of my own.
This Bette is absolutely wonderful and her effect of Tina a joy to read! I look forward to reading more of their encounters.

Anyways you write very engagingly and I haven’t waited for a story update like this since The Eternal Rocks Beneath AKA the mother of all Tibette fanfic story (that’s a huge compliment). I like you characters and think this can turn out very interesting for both parts because I do believe our hard knock Bette in this story is actually already head over heels for thi slightly childish Tina, much to her annoyance and perhaps surprise?. Post soon!
