    This tale begins the day after Season 5 ends — and picks up, JadedRogue style

    Future Imperfect – 06.01

     

     

    The day after…..

     

                “I just think we need some time away, you know, from everything?  Then we could figure out just what we’re going to do,” said Tina as she and Alice walked down the sidewalk, heading towards SheBar.  Tina had called Alice early that morning, wanting a sounding board, and Alice was usually good for that.

     

                Alice grimaced, wanting everything to work out for them, wanting someone to finally have a solid relationship that wasn’t fraught in pain and insanity.  She’s been slightly, well, more than slightly insane when she’d been with Dana.  Then when she’s been without Dana, she’d been out of her mind.  Then there was the slightly incestuous affair with Lara.  Her relationship with Tasha was something that she wanted to save, yet there seemed to be so much more out there, people who were more in line with how she viewed the world.

     

                “I kissed someone,” blurted out Alice.

     

                Tina stopped short, “That someone had better be Tasha.”

     

                “It wasn’t,” whispered Alice in a pained voice.  “It’s so hard with her sometimes.  We are so different, and at first that is what brought us together, those vast differences, but now it’s driving us apart.”

     

                They walked up the short steps of SheBar, which Kit and Helena now owned, and sat down at the only empty table.  Tina wasn’t sure what to say.  How could she pass judgment on Alice?  She, Tina Kennard, the woman who had stepped out of her relationship with Bette, and then been the other woman, Bette’s Mistress so to speak?  She couldn’t very well tell Alice what to do. 

     

                “Who is she?” asked Tina in a conversational tone.

     

                The waitress came over to take their order and Alice pushed back a strand of her dark blonde hair from her ebony colored eyes.  “Clea… the um, fashion designer that was on The Look.”

     

                “I cannot tell you what to do, Alice.  Truthfully, I’m the last person on earth you should be talking to about this.  I was having an affair with a taken woman, Bette.  Jodi is in such pain over what I did, and I can’t change it.  I wish I’d done things so differently.”

    1. I am so confused. I’ve looked behind the doors, under the sofa cushions, in the closets and under the bed and not a vampire or super power in sight. Unless Adele is going to give Jenny eternal life by biting her neck!!!!! I really liked this and hope for a lot more. Even if it is going to be a regular narative, I know you will make it great.

    4. Great chapter JR. You seem to have all the bases covered. Alice and Tasha, Shane, Nikki and Jenny….. and even Adele. Hopefully that slimebag will do something to help Jenny, since she was so horrible in the show. Bette and Tina off for a romantic getaway (Is this you paying off your bet?) And Kit, Helena and lover Cindy. I am looking forward to futher installments.

    7. JR, this was sensational! It will be interesting to measure your version of S6 against I.C.’s when it comes out. I love your take so far. Can’t wait for the next installment of the story!
