    Ghost of Christmas Past 4

…. Dana laughed softly, “Just one more trip, then a little show and tell and we wrap with a Q and A session.”….

Dana grabbed Alice’s hand and they were off. Next thing Alice knew she was standing outside of the Planet, but it was Marina’s Planet, not Kit’s. It was before the renovation. Actually, it was before Marina’s renovation.

She turned to see a black Chevy Blazer speeding in to park and jumped out of the way. She slapped Dana’s shoulder when she saw her snickering at her.

“Al, the car can’t hit you.”

“Well, instincts are instincts regardless.”  Alice turned back to the street and saw the Blazer pulling into a spot as a Jeep Wrangler was backing into the spot. Alice instantly recognized the scene and a smile was growing as she turned to watch it unfold.

Alice blared on the horn to stop the Jeep from hitting her and the Jeep came to a rapid halt. Alice absently waved nicely at the driver and continued pulling into the spot. As she got out of the car, the Jeep pulled up to her.

“You know, you back into a spot on the side of the street, not pull in. Didn’t you see me?”

“I did, but I was already pulling in. And does it really matter?”

“Yes, you parallel park by backing in. How do you have a drivers license and not know that. I could of hit you.”

“What are you the parking police?” Alice finally looked up and saw a beautiful brunette with very angry eyes looking at her, “ And besides, you didn’t hit me, so all is good.”

“No, it isn’t good, I’m about to be late for an interview, thanks to you stealing my spot.”

Alice tried her biggest smile, “I’m really sorry. I was in a rush. I have to meet someone in…” she said, looking at her watch, “two minutes ago. I’m really sorry, but I need to go. Here’s my card. If I can make it up to you, let me know.”

The Jeep driver looked at the card and called after her, “Wait, wait!!! Ms. Pieski, wait!”
