Part Eleven
Nine years ago…
“Congratulations sweetie I’m so proud of you!” Terion said a look of pride was so evident in his eyes
Tina just finished her masters at Harvard University today and her father, Terion Kennard flew all the way from Los Angeles to give his greetings in person. He then brought his daughter to a very expensive restaurant to celebrate.
“Thanks daddy, but you shouldn’t have come here; I know you’re a very busy man and besides I’ll leave Cambridge next week and go to LA to start working for you”
Terion smiled, he was so happy knowing that despite the horrendous ordeal that Tina went through as a young kid, she had grown into a beautiful and intelligent woman.
“Honey you know I wouldn’t miss this for the world to congratulate you in person on this incredible achievement and let me correct what you’ve just said. You are not going to work for me; you are going to start handling your own company. Christina everything that I’ve worked for my entire life belongs to you sweetheart”
“I know daddy and you being here with me means the world to me too and I’m glad that we are now dining in my favorite restaurant!”
“Anything for my lovely daughter”
“So when did you arrive?” Tina asked then took a small sip on her wine
“Yesterday”
“You should have told me that you came in yesterday I would have picked you up from the airport myself”
“That’s okay honey, I went to see an old friend first and besides I wanted to surprise you”
“Well congratulations, because I’m totally surprised! I really thought you’ll be leaving for Geneva again I didn’t know that you’ll be flying here” the blonde said smiling
Terion just smiled back and stared at his daughter
“Daddy is there something on my face that’s why you are looking at me like that?” Tina said chuckling
Terion made a deep breath then took his daughter’s hand that was resting on the table and kissed it “There’s nothing wrong on your face, it’s just that you look so much like your mother and whenever I see you I feel like I’m looking at her, you look so beautiful sweetheart”
