“Okay,” Angelica said scampering away.
“The studio provided you with this apartment?” Bette asked.
“Actually the proper term is flat, and no they didn’t actually,” Tina said. “Focus pictures was competing with another New York film studio for me and they offered me a very generous advance to join them. I bought this flat with that money and invested the rest.”
“Really?” Bette said in surprise. “They gave you enough to actually buy a place?”
“Oh yes, and with plenty leftover for you to use to build up your branch of the gallery,” Tina said.
“Kelly wasn’t happy with my departure cause she knows her gallery is shit without me,” Bette said, “so I had to leave James with her so she could agree to open up another branch here in New York.”
“I’m sorry you had to leave your assistant there,” Tina said, “I know you’ve been working with him for years.”
“I know, and it’ll be hard to find another assistant to replace him,” Bette said, “but I’m sure I’ll be fine.”
“Anything to keep you away from that Kelly bitch,” Tina said.
“You really hate her don’t you?” Bette said.
“You don’t even need to ask that after what that bitch did,” Tina said.
“I wonder what the Hell video Jenny got to have Kit so convinced that I actually cheated on you,” Bette said with a scoff.
“I don’t know, I thought for sure Duffy would show me during the interrogations,” Tina said.
“Let’s not talk about that huh, that shit is behind us, let’s focus on our new life here,” Bette said.
“Right,” Tina said, “the movers should be here in twenty minutes. They called me on the Cab ride over.”
“Great then they could furnished the house so we could start unpacking the clothes,” Bette said.
“We’ll I’ll have to join that ‘fun’ later, I have to report in to Focus studios to sign some contracts, but I’ll be back in a pair of hours,” Tina said.
