It had been three months since the engagement and Tina and Bette were having trouble seeing each other alone. Every minute not spent at work was spent with Shane, Alice, Dana or Kit planning the wedding. Alice was dragging Bette and Tina all over trying to find things like invitations, centerpieces etc. Kit was keeping them busy trying to plan what type of ceremony they wanted and what type of music to play. Dana was trying to be supportive and mainly was there for a shoulder to lean on when Bette and Tina got frustrated with all the planning. And Shane, well she was just along for the ride, helping out wherever she could.

Work had also picked up for Bette and Tina, as Bette was launching a new show due to open in one month and Tina was handed a new project at her studio. They would call each other constantly, but usually one or the other couldnt really talk because they were busy, and the times they did get to spend together they would usually eat dinner and fall asleep right away due to exhaustion.

Thursday morning Tina called Bette like she always did trying to catch her before she got to work, but that was getting harder and harder lately. Hi baby, whats up? answered Bette, sounding a little out of breath and slightly agitated. I just wanted to say hi and wish you a good day before you got to work, said Tina, a little disappointed in Bettes response to her call. Thanks baby, said Bette who was walking into the CAC as she was talking to Tina. Hey do you think we could have dinner tomorrow? asked Tina, who was getting tired of not being able to see Bette without the rest of the gang there. Bette looked down at her desk and the mound of paperwork on it and said, I dont know Tina, I have a lot of work to do. So do I Bette, but I miss you. Is this how its going to be when were married? asked Tina. Bette felt slightly guilty and knew that Tina was getting frustrated with her. She also knew that she wanted nothing more than to go home to Tina and just be with her but her job was making that nearly impossible these days. Sighing she answered Tina, How about this, I know you have to work too so why dont we shoot for Saturday? Come over early and well spend the evening together. Okay, see you then. I love you. I love you too. With that Bette hung up and looked at the pile of work she had in front of her. She knew that she could work well into the weekend, but she also knew that she had her girlfriend, no wait, her fiance to take care of and that came above all else.

Saturday afternoon Tina came over looking exhausted. Alice had picked her up at 7 am to go shopping for more wedding things, and frankly, Tina was getting tired of it. She wished the day were here already so that her and Bette could start their life together. Bette was sleeping when Tina got there and Tina couldnt help but sit and watch as Bette looked so peaceful. She smiled as she traced the outline of Bettes face with her finger. God I love this woman thought Tina as she laid down next to Bette, wrapping her arm around Bettes waist. She inhaled Bettes scent and soon she was sleeping as peacefully as Bette.

Tina awoke to find herself alone. Bette walked back into the bedroom in her robe and smile seeing Tina awake. Hi baby, she said bending down to give Tina a kiss. Have a good shower? asked Tina playfully as she pulled Bette down on the bed next to her. Yeah but it would have been better if you were there, said Bette, smiling into a kiss as Tina moved on top of her. Well now, I still need to shower sometime tonight, said Tina with an evil smile. Bette smiled up at her and for a second got lost in her eyes. Bette sat up and pulled Tina into her lap. She was playing with Tinas hands as she said, You know, since the wedding is only 2 months away, and you spend a lot of time here anyway, how about you just live here, with me? Tina smiled and mockingly asked, Are you asking me to move in? Bette grinned as she pulled Tina in for a kiss.

What started out as a slow kiss soon deepened as Tina could feel the excitement running through her body.
