Healing the Sequel to The Plot

    Chapter 18

Tina felt queasy.  Her first intension was to go straight to Helena’s house but after the brief phone conversation with Kit, Tina took a U turn and instead headed towards her apartment.  With one hand on the wheel her other absentmindedly rubbed her stomach she drove through late afternoon traffic.  The circular rubbing motion was fast become her stress reliever.  Moving through traffic Tina needed to find an outlet for the building stress her active mind was churning up.

“How could I not see what was going on with Bette?”  Tina asks herself.

Many other questions streaked across her mind but none stuck as steadfast as this one.

“How… really how could I’ve been so stupid?”

And for Tina it wasn’t as much the question as the answer that quickly followed as soon as she asked herself.

“I did or at least I suspected.”

It was this truthful answer that rocked her enough to get her to turn around her car and was the source of the added acids stewing in her stomach.  How could she even think she was doing the right things if she overlooked Bette’s basic well being?  There can be no going to war against Helena if she’s doing it for all the wrong reasons.

“Could my need to stop Helena and somehow find a vindication for Bette be more important than Bette herself?”

Pulling into her apartment parking lot, Tina has wrung this question around enough in her own mind to know that the answer was No.  She needed to find Bette and make sure she was safe before she did anything else.  Only then could she have a conversation with Bette where they both together would decide what to do with Helena.  This isn’t a task she should assume to know what it necessary to have Bette’s back.  They need to do it together.

Tina pulled herself out of her car.  She needed to run in quickly and use the restroom.  After that she intends on calling Kit that is if Kit will answer her phone and help search for Bette.  It was as she was digging into her purse for the keys to her apartment that she realized that Bette might be at the beach.  After all that’s where she found her before.

    1. Thanks so much for coming back with another chapter, I’ve really missed this story. Please keep Tina safe from Helena and hopefully Shane can find out what Bette has taken and can get the rest of it away from her. The very last thing anybody needs is a junkie Bette. What has happened to all her paintings that were in the house, I don’t remember reading about them being sold. When Tina find out all the info that Alice has, I hope she will have the good sense to contact Peggy P. before she totally destroys everything that is good with Bette. I just hope Tina doesn’t hurt herself and the baby by going after helena alone. She should let Kit beat the hell out of helena before they turn her into the police. Great update. Thanks again for posting.
