    "Pour your misery down on me…"

    The voice is loud and annoyed as the Planet goes about its day.  She has no idea.

    Kit: Where the fuck is she???

    Bette: I don’t know.  Maybe she’s still tired from the flight.

    Tina: Did she know to be here today?

    Kit: Yeah!  Her and Jenny!  And Jenny’s here.

    Jenny waits tables as Shane sits at the table drinking coffee.  Angelica is in Tina’s arms as she and Bette try to calm Kit.  They have no idea.

    Bette: You do have someone back there cooking, right?

    Kit: Yeah, I got the other cooks.  But Lara’s the main chef!  She’s one of the reasons a lot of people have been comin’ here for the last year or so!

    Tina: We could call Dana and Al…they’d probably know.

    Bette: Or Carmen. I think she was with her after we left the airport.

    Kit: Well, speakin’ of which…

    Alice and Dana enter the Planet, all smiles and holding hands.  They have no idea.

    Shane: Hey, guys.

    Alice: Gooood morning!

    Dana: Hey, Shane!

    Shane: You guys seen Lara?

    Alice and Dana look at each other.

    Dana: Yeah…she was with us last night.

    Alice: And she left early to come to work.  Why, she not here or somethin’?

    Kit, Bette and Tina walk over to the table now to join in.

    Kit: Where the fuck is she?

    Alice: I thought she was on her way here…  I remember her getting out of bed this morning and getting her uniform…

    Bette rolls her eyes and sits down.

    Bette: Oh, Christ….you three didn’t honestly…

    Tina: Bette…

    Bette quickly looks with her eyes pierced towards Tina.

    Tina: …I don’t think this is the time.  We’ve kinda got a missing person on our hands.

    Bette looks back to Alice and Dana.

    Bette: What did you people do last night and please spare the details?

    Alice and Dana look at one another again, unsure how to explain without going into detail.

    Shane: I’m guessin’ they all did each other.  Which is your business, guys.  I ain’t in it.

    Dana: Okay…maybe she just had a car breakdown or something.  She could be stuck on the side of the road somewhere.

    Alice: We coulda just not seen her while on our way in…

    1. Sigh… okay I accept that this isn’t a Bette & Tina story…and I’ll even continue to read. I will watch you weave your story and I will watch while the surface is being scratched. I’ll cringe when you mention Helena & Bette in the same sentence and I won’t doubt you…cause I am a good lil soldier…and a fan. Man I need to get a backbone in 07…lol.

    2. sweet! I love being away from regular internet access over the holidays because then I can relish in all the updates I’ve missed. Dramus maximus, I approve. I am starting to warm to the idea of Carmen and Lara. I can’t wait to see where they are going to find the soup chef. Love it love it love it. And Uta and Shane are the uber-Yodas.     4. I admit although it was a lengthy update it ended too quickly for me. Will they find Laura? & If so will she & Carmen admit how they feel in front of everyone? Dying to know..need to know…come on Kace…like now. :-D
