Alice’s Apartment

Alice pushed the door open with her foot as she stumbled in with her arms full of bags. She threw them on the couch without hesitation and went to check her messages. Alice walked over to the answering machine noticing she had three messages, she pushed the play button and recognized the familiar voice.

“Al its me Dana” there was a pause, “I know I fucked and I’m sorry…I just got caught up in the moment and” another long pause, “look call me please…I love you”. The next message began to play, “Look maybe you didn’t get my message from earlier but…aw ***** it” Dana disconnected, “Message 3…Alice I’m going to continue to call you until you pick up okay I just I don’t know I miss you and…Dana let’s go you have a match…Al I have to go I have a match…watch if you’re not too busy”. Although Alice didn’t care to admit it, she missed Dana but she wasn’t going to sit around and think about Dana all night, Alice picked up her phone.

“Hey whatcha doin tonight” she asked Kayla.

“Nothing…Isiah is spending the night with Nylan so…” Alice grinned.

“Great we’re going out” Alice yelled.

Dana fell backwards onto the bed her whole body was aching, she had just taken a long hot bath. Dana closed her eyes and let her dreams take over her mind.

“Dana” Alice said and she open her eyes smiling up at Alice who was straddling her waist. Alice leaned down and began to kiss a trail down Dana’s neck making her moan softly, “I love you” she whispered only it wasn’t Alice it was Lara. Lara opened the robe Dana was wearing and began to play with her nipples, “who knows you better than me Dana” Lara asked smiling down at Dana. “Me…I’m your best friend” Alice responded.

“*****” Dana muttered. “Has anyone else found your g spot Dana” Lara asked. The revolving faces were making Dana dizzy. “Remember that kiss Dana…you know the one that turned your legs into jello…you’ve never been kissed like that before” Alice began to assault Dana’s lips and it felt like it did on the faithful night she visited her at four in the morning. “Yeah but I was almost Mrs. Dana Fairbanks” Tonya shrieked and Dana eyes became wide, she began to push Tonya off of her but it seemed like she wasn’t moving.

“*****” Dana rolled off the bed and glanced around her room, “it was a dream thank god it was just a dream” she back down on the edge of the bed and thought about the dream for a moment before picking up her phone and dialing.

“Hi Lara…its me”

Alice and Kayla had only been there for ten minutes before the both of them were snatched onto the dance floor. They were catching the eyes of every woman in the club tonight, what was it about a woman that was already taken being even more attractive than before. The song ended and they waved bye to their partners to return to their table. Alice ordered a Cosmo and Kayla odered a Iced Tea.

“So what’s up with you and Dana” Alice choked on her straw, she was suprised at Kayla’s boldness but then again she herself was bold and intrusive so they made a pair.

“Nothing” Kayla shot Alice a knowing look, “okay I caught her kissing her ex girlfriend”.

“You’re this distraught over a kiss…try finding a shoe box full underwear that you know aren’t yours or answering her cell phone only hear another woman on the line or…” Alice held up her hands in front of Kayla’s face.

“Alright I think I get the point….but you don’t understand this girl is real competition” Alice leaned closer to whisper to Kayla, “she found her g spot”. Kayla laughed and a little too loudly for Alice.

“Do you love her” Kayla asked in a serious tone and Alice nodded, “well fight for her…don’t give up so easily on true love…life is too short”Kayla squeezed Alice’s hand.

Alice’s Apartment

Alice made it home just in time to catch Dana’s match, they were in their third set and Dana was kicking the young blonde’s *****.

“That’s right baby” Alice kicked off her shoes and got comfortable, she didn’t know what was going on but she put on a ***** of a convincing face. She watched Dana smack that ball around for minutes before she was disturbed by her doorbell. Alice jumped up to answer it so she could back to watching that *****…I mean game.

“Hi” Alice was shocked and she was speechless, “Can I come in” she asked. Alice stood still unable to move from her position.

“And Dana Fairbanks wins the match she’s going to the finals” the commentator screamed. Alice turned quickly to the television as she watched the sportcaster walk over to Dana to get a word with her.

“How do you feel after winning this important match” he asked and Dana looked straight to the camera a hint of nervousness in her eyes.

“Alice” she gulped and took a deep breath before speaking again,”will you marry me” Alice couldn’t believe what she was hearing. She back to her visitor who was now holding a box, she opened to reveal the most beautiful ring she had ever seen.

“Dana wanted me to give this to you” Lara said smiling back at Alice who had tears in her eyes and she began to cry too as she handed the box to Alice.
