    Some uncertainty…and some love making

    I lay in Bette’s bed studying the ceiling. It ‘s been three hours since Bette had fallen asleep. Yet here I am, should be suffering from near exhaustion, but unable to fall asleep. I gave up on trying to fall asleep about an hour in a half ago. My kicking and turning was just disrupting Bette’s sleep and that would be unfair to her considering she had a big day the next day. But then again so did I

     

    So I had succumbed to my insomnia and had laid in the same position, just staring and thinking, Bette’s arm fell loosely but securely over my stomach holding me tight

     

    I looked over to my sleeping beauty. Her calm and shallow breathing which usually lulled me to sleep somewhat began to annoy me 20 minutes ago. I guess it was unfair for me to say that. She has been nothing but a sweetheart, well a smart ***** as well but even soshe cared for meit’ not her fault I can’t sleep

     

    Her hair had fallen loosely over her face, I took my free hand and pushed it behind her ear to get a better look at her angelic face. Even in the dim moonlight that cascaded into her room, I could see her face clearly. She had fallen asleep with a content grin that didn’t go away as the night wore on. I know because I checked many times to see if it was still there she must be dreaming about something good. Probably sexIf I knew Bette as well as I thought I didit was definitely ***** occupying her thoughts and dreams as she slept

     

    As I continued to study her face a small tear escaped my eyes. Why was I so upset? What is wrong with me I thought to myself? Here I am in the arms of the woman I love and I’m here miserable. I know the reason why but I push it to the back of my thoughts trying to pretend that reason didn’t exist

     

    I was just so happymaybe I have some sort of imbalance I began to wonderI should probably check that out and get some medication

     

    That was a silly thoughtI’m not crazysee what no sleep does to you…
