Holidays Are Coming #1

The festive season was in motion and it was time to decorate their homes for Christmas. Preparation for the holidays was a must by everyone in every community, it was time for families to get together and share themselves in a way like no other holiday could. The Christmas season had not been the same since the gang evaporated and went their separate ways in life.

**New York** – **Alice**
It still cut Alice up deep inside because she had to escape LA, ex girlfriends and burn. LA did hold so many good memories but the bad ones were all she could remember. She left for New York, in the middle of the night 3 years ago at this time. She had not intentionally meant to leave without saying goodbye but it was for the best. A piece of herself was left that night. She had another job offer she had been working on for a few months previous to leaving. To work for Hello Magazine as the official Editor, a dream come true and a fresh start she so desperately craved in her life.

She and Tasha broke up. A very messy break up was inevitable because Alice would always feel guilty for ruining her career and as things were going horrifically wrong between them both. She knew in her own mind that them splitting would be the best thing for them both. She loved Tasha but that love somehow wasn’t the same as what she had felt she fall too quickly for Tasha. And from then it was hurdle after hurdle for them to even be a couple. Relationships are a lot of hard work in themselves but when the hard work becomes torture you know it’s definitely time to move on.

Work was a lot harder and if something went wrong she would be to blame. But she enjoyed the challenge. She met a woman called Dana who was to become a professional tennis player. Alice knew that this would be a friend she would keep close by. Work, work and Dana pretty much filled up her time but every now again she would think about Helena mainly, and how wonderful it would be to share parts of her life with her the way they used to, but everytime something would stop her reaching out. Helena had not been in touch so it was rather a forbidden territory for them both. She missed her dearly but knew Helena was a woman of many powers and probably had a whole range of friends from different classes of society. Of anything Alice always knew about Helena was that she was able to captivate a room.

In her heart she knew one day they would meet again but not now maybe it wasn’t meant to be for that time or place. But it would happen. Secretly she had a crush on her best friend, she thought of all the reasons why this was so wrong but yet she could always counteract them with reasons why it felt so normal and completely fine to have a slight crush on your friends deep down, there would be no harm done because these feelings would never be spoken out loud.

Her life was coming together piece by piece but she still missed the girls in their prime they all had this huge connection that no other force could be reckoned with at that point. But somehow like everything else in life all good things must come to an end.

**Los Angeles** – **Bette & Tina**
Life was slightly different now between the two life partners; Angie was now 5 years old and growing into a charming young lady. Both Bette and Tina were very proud parents, about a year after Alice left they broke up. They both let work and other issues in their relationship defeat them. It was a blow for them both but knew in the long run it would be better for Angie to have two parents that could get on amicably other than them screaming down each others throats.

Tina found an apartment near by so that Angie would be close to Bette and still seek some kind of normality to a family life. Although this wasn’t what both women thought would happen to their lives they had both grown to accept their actions and outcomes of the future of their own lives. Tina had just got promotion at work when things started to go wrong at home with Bette, it was a once in a life time opportunity so Tina did not take it for granted. She hauled long endless hour’s strivelling through paperwork and much attention and dedication it needed for the project. An upcoming film they had in production would be her new baby, and her new role was everything in life she had been working. As Bette already had her dream job in life, she did not understanding the input Tina had to make for this production to make it to the big screen.

Bette owned her own gallery, but I that wasn’t enough she had managed to open a chain of galleries with her name showcasing her profile career. Her chain even endeavoured to Paris. Where her work was solely shown and had an impact on her name in the art prestigious world. Work was always hectic before the opening of her two other galleries but her work load compiled into a constant battle for some family time she no longer had time for. Angie was growing so fast the years just flew by, and much to her amazement she had not seen how far apart hers and Tina’s life was now. The bed was cold and empty herself or Tina would be working so usually the bed was empty on the other side, it was an accustomed feeling now.

Their daughter was stuck in between the tirade between both women, although they only wanted the best for Angelica it was never portrayed in that way.
