With a glass of water in her hand, Tina slowly brought it to her forehead and closed her eyes. Bette had been to visit just a few days earlier, and the guilt she felt was beginning to eat away at her resolve. Her feelings were so complicated that she was dizzy with it all. Of course there was her betrayal to her husband by sleeping with Bette, but she had started feeling detached from Bette as well. She felt lost – like nobody knew her anymore. Her friends had nothing in common with her, her husband had no idea who she really was either, and her love affair just wasn’t worth the depressing aftermath.

"What am I doing?" Tina whispered to herself, putting the glass down onto the table. She had a growing urge to tip it over.

"Hey hunny, I’m home!" Gregg called out, causing Tina to drop her head onto her arms with a sigh. So much for spilling the water, she thought. "Tina?"

"I’m in here," Tina groaned, picking up her head to look him straight in the eyes. She felt like it had been too long since she’d done it that way, and that maybe he was suspecting something.

When Gregg walked into the room, he was holding a pizza. "It’s not delivery – it’s Delissio."

Tina chuckled the way she always did when he said that, glad in a small way for his chipper mood and odd timing. "You’re a walking ad," she mumbled with a smile, getting up while she rolled her eyes.

"Well I’d rather be a sitting ad," he teased, moving the box from side-to-side as Tina approached. "Couch?"

    "Sure."

As he left down the hall, Tina slipped her hands into her back pockets and let out a heavy breath. She felt like she’d hit her lowest, and yet Gregg had absolutely no idea.

She followed him into the living room and ate with him while they watched an old Seinfeld episode, and she debated with herself whether or not to tell him she’d never really cared for the show. By the time she finally decided to share her little truth, she pushed the leftovers into the middle of the coffee table and turned to see he’d fallen asleep. Tina let out a sigh of laughter and looked at her watch. "Eight o’clock. Oh Gregg."

    1. Hi GR.. Thanks!! Your story is always captivating..6 pages but feels like it’s simply too short. Even though I am confused as on how do they involved and keep living in this kind of situations? Must be living in agony… Does Tina or Bette or both not dare to stand up? And what about Gregg? Does he really has no clue at all?? Looking forward to your next update as i am curious to know where you are going to take us in this story :-)

    2. Guilt is the worst obstacle but that only happens when you’re not brave enough to face your feelings. I don’t feel sorry for Tina but I do feel sorry for Gregg, unless he isn’t what he seems. Awesome update thanks GR 

    3. Okay, okay why does gregg have to be a nice guy?? Ugh! Okay regardless of what most lesbians think there are some pretty nice guys out there, for example, Tim. I for one was mad at Jenny for betraying him but at the same time I understood her struggle. She could have handled it better. Now in Tina’s case, she’s in a loveless marriage, she loves him but she’s not in love with him. I know that feeling from experience and it is the worst feeling in the world to have to hide who you really are. Lesbiabism is not a choice ya know? Though this affair is morally wrong because of the innocent bystander, Gregg, who if he was cheating as well I would be all for Tina doing it too, but he’s not. I hope Tina handles it better than Jenny did. She needs to tell him her feelings because finding out the way Tim did would be much more painful.Okay sorry for writing an essay, but you like comments and I love your stories!

    4. Have read both chapters so far and enjoying it. Something is on my mind about this situation; we know that Tina is married, unhappily so but we don’t know Bette’s status. Is she marrie, living with someone, or just single and carefree. I say married or in a committed relationship because she can only come to Tina at certain times. If she is free she could come anytime she wanted to since she knows that Gregg is working during the day and also when he goes out with the boys so that tells me she is with someone AND cheating on them with Tina. Therefore Tina doesn’t need to leave her husband even though she is very unhappy and she doesn’t seem to be employed. So if she left him she wouldn’t be able to take care of herself without a job or a way to make a living. Great chapter. Thanks.

    5. Lots of great comments above, so I will just focus mine on your extraordinary writing. Once again, you describe their thoughts and feelings soo well, which really makes all of the difference when storytelling. Wonderful job! You really engage the reader in their emotions and turmoils, and therefore, have us hooked on the outcome of the characters. Every damn time, GR!! Great job and please continue your fantastic tales of B & T.
