How Hard Can it Be – Part 3a
Tina looked around the nursery and smiled at the way Bette had put the room together. She especially loved the mobile that hung above the crib. Bette had always had a knack for finding things that were particularly unique. Tina supposed that it came with having such a passion for the artistic world. And even though Bette had her faults she certainly had passion. There was never any denying it, Bette never did things halfway. Tina sighed thinking about how much she was responsible for Bette losing her job. She hadnt handled her situation with Helena very well at all. The truth was though that she had never thought of the relationship as anything more than a rebound fling. Which was not to say that she didnt have any feelings toward Helena, there had just been a point in where she had realized that they werent meant for any sort of long term relationship. Helena had made Tina feel like Bette had made her feel when they had first met. The seduction, and attention, that was exactly the same. But there had been another phase of the process with Bette. Because somewhere along the line Tina knew that Bette had fallen in love with her. That was not true with Helena. While the other woman did dote on her, there was a point where Tina understood that Helena would never love her the way that Bette did. And she also realized that if she went any further into the relationship she would end up losing herself. Helena would never let her be her own person. She didnt even want to become part of the world that she was sure Helena would drag her into if the relationship progressed any further than it already had. Tina had absolutely no desire to become a trophy wife. Not to mention the fact that she had caught first sight of how ugly Helena could become when she didnt get her way. Tina had not known what to think when she had seen the nursery that Helena had put together for her baby. She had thought it slightly arrogant and Tina couldnt understand why, but it had made her slightly sick. Tina quickly shook her head and looked down at her sleeping baby one more time before she left the room closing the door halfway behind her. Slowly she walked toward the kitchen and found Bette sitting at the table with a newspaper in front of her. Hey, hows she doing? Bette asked as she looked up from the paper.

I like snickerdoodles LOL
nice update can’t wait to see where this is going. And I’m on carmens side about mark I don’t understand why they just forgave him?? Anyways, I though maybe hella was having sex in her office and that’s why she didn’t want to see Tina, guess I was wrong.
hey! glad u liked my suggestion! the alice/mark friendship fits in so well, i always thought they clicked. keep it up!
This is brilliant!!!5 stars, you write awesome Sharmen!!
i hate Helena..but who wouldnt???..great chapter post soon please
Sharmen interaction is so sincere. I too wondered about forgiving Mark so easily. Just thought it was ones of IC’s need to appease the straight viewers. But he was such a creep that I hated him anyway. It’s as if he raped the women; yet they continually allow him to interact with them… Go figure!
Tina family is coming huh! That’s going to be interesting.
(Random thought) Hey I was thinking that maybe IC should expound on Kit’s character by dwelling in her past and her child’s eventual removal from her custody, then their reunion at Melvin’s funeral and their relationship thereafter. I love the Kit character particularly her and Bette’s relationship in Season 2. We need more from her.
where’s my cookie for reading ur story
okay this comment is better late than never… i LOVE the way you write Mark – and his interaction with Alice in this story. i also love how you write dana. (everybody for that matter, but dana is hard to get and you do it so well.)
