    “How foolish of me to presume you wouldn’t be another of Porter’s nightly bed buddies.”

     

    Previously:

    “Wasn’t it your other foot you were limping on a second ago?” Tina said and the sceptical looks turned to smug. Kate looked caught and the coach was angry.

    “I’ll speak to you after class, Ms Arden” he said before calling the group back away.

    Bette was delighted, she drew up to Tina’s side and looked at her side-long, smiling but didn’t say anything.

    “Nice running, I’m impressed” Tina said, grinning.

    “You will be” Winked Bette before running to join the group.

    Chapter 8:

    Following her embarrassment in Gym, Bette predicted Kate would not be making a move on Tina for a while. It was difficult for her to hide the joy this made her feel. She grinned widely throughout the rest of the lesson, stopping only briefly when the basketball came into sharp contact with her forehead.

    “Ha.. She completely underestimated Tina” Bette started for the umpteenth time, “I mean, did you see her face?” Bette grinned at Shane who merely chuckled at her friend’s enthusiasm.

    They got out of the shower and proceeded to dry themselves and dress.

    At the end of their lesson, Bette had wondered what it would be like in the changing rooms. The thought of seeing Tina getting ready to shower made Bette’s pulse quicken. In the end, she was saved from her body’s inevitable sensory overload, however, when the Phys. Ed. teacher requested a few moments with the new girl regarding fitness levels. Part of her was disappointed while the rest of her thanked her lucky stars, realising that she most probably would’ve had to exercise every ounce of self control she could muster to stay away from her.

    Shane dragged behind to talk to someone and so Alice, Dana and Bette left together. As they passed the Sports Hall, the group nearly collided with a rushing Tina.

    “Ooh, sorry, guys. I don’t want to be late for my next class” she said, hurrying past.

    “No problem, we’re cool” Alice spoke up for them as a whole, “Hey; you’re still meeting with us at first break, right? We’re almost always out by the track field, up on the bleachers” Alice called after her. Tina turned, nodded and smiled.

    “Yeah, I’ll be there” she said before shooting Bette a significant look and disappearing into the changing rooms.

    2. Damn. Now everything is pretty messed up. Helena is a complete asshole.. she should mind her own business. Bette shouldn’t have boasted to the friends.. making Tina look like just another one of her many conquests. Poor Tina.

    7. Well, Bette’s boastful mouth got her into trouble didn’t it. She’s got some major grovelling to do. “Why don’t you just tattoo her face on the inside of your eyes”, that got a real chuckle out of me! PPS!!

    10. adolescents!!!!!! their mouths and egos get the better of them and they end up hurting one another…poor Tina, poor Bette, poor Helena even!!!! enjoying the tale tho’…ppps
