    Hunt for a hidden history

Cindi curled on her side into a ball, holding her dislocated wrist and sobbed.

It had been a while before Bette spoke again, in a less infuriated voice, “I’m not gonna kill you, as long as you do something for me.”

Without hearing a confirmation from the blonde, Bette scooted in to clamp her fingers around Cindi’s neck, adding some pressure on the bobbing voice cord and removing the cloth in her mouth.

“You’re gonna call your boss, and you’re gonna tell him that Vincent is dead. Hmm?”

“Ok! Ok I’ll call.” The girl choked out, more tears rolling down her cheeks as she pleaded for her life, “I’ll call.”

    ——

Tina was sobbing, all the way on the flight back to Chicago. Hazel pools were clouded with a thin sheath of water vapor, she almost knocked herself on the chair when she was boarding. Luckily, she had three women accompanying her.

Shane McCutcheon, Carmen de la Pica Morales, and one eccentric Jennifer Schecter.

It all started when Helena had called her late in the afternoon.

“Tina, I have something to tell you.” Helena had said, very grimly she sounded.

“What is it? Is…is everything alright?” Her heart started to pound in an ominous rhythm.

And the worst thing she had anticipated came true. “Bette’s been hurt.” A strangled cry interrupted Helena, and the Brit was a little frantic at the sound, “she’s ok—I mean she will be. I mean, it’s pretty bad but it’s all part of her plan.”

Before the call, there had been an important conversation going on, which casted a lot more shocking truth and understandings about Bette’s story for Tina.

Her eyes went as wide as her skull allowed when Shane fished out a dusty file from the safe built in the basement under the seemingly innocent salon. And they went wider still, when the file flicked open.

    Old CIA files.

On the first page, it was a much younger Bette, no more than 20 years old. Her big Bambi eyes were bloodshot with tears, a pretty nasty wound resided on the ridge of her left eyebrow, and her skin a layer of dusty grey. Under the photo, there was a file which recorded her involvement with a local gang responsible for various criminal activities. But she wasn’t charged or prosecuted, the blank under her status had a word “neutralized” printed there.
“Is this…?” Tina flipped through the pages, and noticed the icky-looking teenage girl started to transform into the woman that she was today. Those brown eyes were unfaltering in front of the cameras, and every time they grew a little bit colder. “What did she…?”

    1. Author:

Alright, folks, it’s been a hell of a ride filled with my craziness, as you can see that the story is drawing to an end.
I promised you a good ending, so I’m working on the last few chapters and I feel a bit elated not to have to write about more blood and gun and fight.

Thanks for tolerating and reading! Comments are welcome as usual! Or just tell me random stuff, what’s on your mind.

      Love and Peace

      • oh and dunn, bibi, lip, guys come on, I love HELENA! She’s so darn cute, especially from season 3 and on. To me she’s pretty harmless. I don’t get why so many people depict her as a evil bitch. She’s such a cinnamon bun, doesn’t deserve any of the shit people been throwing her way LOL

    2. hello finished reading all your stories and I enjoyed them, you’re a genius to literature! I would like this novel has one or several sequels with many chapters, and yes going to write another novel I’d like to be a romantic comedy! Thank you for your novel.

    3. OK i concede maybe HELENA is a good guy after all, she did sound the alarm. Now that TINA has made contact w the girls and knows some of what happen to BETTE lets go to chi-town and get her back.pps this is getting good

    4. Here i am again and wow, what Bette is willing to endure, phew. Have a lot of respect for her and for you to be able to write it.

I am glad that Tina found Sarah Schuster and some how i knew that her real name was Jenny! That nutcase. I hate her more than Helena and you do a good job to make me like her :-).

But i am ready for the good stuff in this story, so bring it asap.

      Thanks for the update!

    5. I really I liked this chapter. and I’m looking forward to how you are shaping this story on.
Poor Bette lived through the agony anguish (I know how painful a broken rib :-D)
I’m glad that Tina is aware of what happened.
