Now laying on her side and playing with her little hands, Youre so beautiful. A small smile. Youre my little girl arent ya? Blue eyes staring straight into her soul. My little Lola bear. Cooing her back into her sleep. Placing her hand just below her belly and closing her eyes herself.

Babe stopping to take in Bette resting with their daughter. Tina took the opportunity to sneak into Bettes drawer and take her camera and snap a few pictures. Placing it back and leaving it for Bette to find when she developed them herself.

JJ, can you help me?

James left early, so we thought we could have breakfast with you guys. Handing him over to Tina, Wheres mom?

Sorry Porter, JJs one thing because he can walk and do stuff on his own, but these two, they got you beat.

Well then, since you three have no faith in me, I will prove to you that I can do it. So Libby, you go right ahead and go to class, Alice make yourself scarce, and Tina, you and JJ can go out just the two of you.

Babe, we were only joking. Giving Eli back to his momma so she could calm his Nana down.

No T, Im gonna do it. With that she made her way to the shower. Leaving them three looking at each other.

While the laughter filled the room an idea brewed in Alices head.

Why dont you Tina come out with us girls, and James could watch JJ. Im sure he wont mind.

I cant go out while my wife is at home with two babies.

Bette are you sure? Looking from her wife, to the two babies in their bouncers.

Bette did the eyebrow thing.

“Ok, JJs with James, and well be down town.

T, Als here, now go. Closing the door she turned to face the two. So lets prove them wrong huh. Them two just looking at her.


Alice, I cant. It was about the third attempt that Tina tried to leave them.

Here, drink up.

Al, I cant.

Just a small one.

Yeah T, just a small one.

Yeah right, she thought as she tipped the shot glass over. The last time it was just a small one, she ended up dancing on the bar in front of a very jealous Bette.

There you go, T, now enjoy. Shane said laying back in her own chair draping her hand over Kellies shoulders.

By the time she finished tipping her glass over the gossip had spread through out the place that Tina was aloneagain.


So you guys, what shall we do? As Bette tried to even out the time between the two in holding them, but they seemed to have a plan of their own.

Eli, started crying, he scared Lola, and she joined in. Trying to hold them at the same time, proved to be an even greater task.

Oh come on you guys, make this easy on me. Okay, youre both fed, and I dont think youre dirty. Trying to think of what else their crying meant. But then their answer came together, they were too full, so they let a little out on Bette.

Great. Looking down, and thanking her stars that she wore one of Tinas old shirts. Car seats left on the floor, she placed each one in their own, as she found wipes and starting going to work on cleaning them up. They were clean, but Eli was still crying.

Eli what is it, showing him some stuffed animals, and play key rings, but no help there either.

Lola on the other hand was now content that she was fed, cleaned, and burped all over her mother, she fell asleep. Bette took her and placed her in the bassinet and returned to Eli whose eyes were now a little red. So without ideas, she resorted to the only thing that settled her Lola bear, when nothing else worked, she pulled out the music.

Holding him in her hands, and she flipped though her music, I hope you like country, its pretty much all I got.

She let some play, but no he wasnt a country fan at all. Looking through some of her old music, How about some Chicago, Rod Stewart, Journey? Flipping through her book, she stopped at some Frank Sinatra.

How about some Ol Blue Eyes for your own blue eyes, trying to make jokes to calm herself down.

The music played and after a few lines, his cries stopped, So you like this huh. So does your Nana. Holding him and hoping this would put him to sleep.

His eyes closed as the last track played, she laid him down in the middle of her bed. She sat at one end and pulled the bassinet closer to her. Before her own eyes closed James, and JJ arrived home.

Mami, a whisper came as the little boy knew it was quiet only for one reason.

Walking in to greet her boys, Hey baby,

Did he do okay?

He cried for a bit, but I pulled Frank out and he settled down.

Frank?

Yeah.

Im impressed.

JJ baby, your pjs are laid out so brush your teeth.

Yes mami.

Thank James for today.

Hugging him, but only reaching up to his waist, I want to be just like you James.

Leaning down to kiss the boy on his head, I love you buddy.

Watching her son walk away, but being interrupted by her son-in-law, So you ready?

For what?

To join your wife. He could see the want in her eyes.

Its her night out.

Go, now. Pointing to the door.

You sure, I havent even showered yet.

Change and youll be okay.

Sure thing boss.

Boss, that doesnt sound so bad.

Protecting himself from the hit he knew she was gonna give him in the arm.

An Intruder
Chapter Fifty-Seven



Alice leaning into Shane, Do you see what I see?

Shane looked around their table and everyone having a good time including Tina, but then the whole room looking at Tina.

Do you think they?

Who cares what they think, Al, they dont know.

But they sure are staring very hard.

Maybe it wasnt such a good idea to come dancing without Bette. We should have went bowling or to the movies or something.

Yeah us bowling Id like to see that.

Alice leaning away from Shane and going back to Dana.

Dana was filled with a few drinks herself and she just wanted to get her wife out there and drop it like it was hot. Whatever it was.

Kellie as well wanted to shake it up with Shane, but she was reluctant to leave Tina at the table by herself.

Shane go dance, I have to go the restroom anyway.

But as Tina spoke, though many had their eyes on her, a very stubborn one kept her gaze and didnt let on. From the very moment she had got there, she saw her and kept her distance, and kept her gaze.

Kellie pulling Shane, Shell be fine.

From the other side, the woman stayed with her. Wherever she went her eyes followed. So when she saw Tina get up and make her way to the restroom, she followed, but kept a few girls in between them.

As her luck would have it, when Tina went into her stall, all the other girls left them alone. She locked the door, but left the water running.

Tina unaware of the intruder, continued her business thinking nothing out of the ordinary as a pair of feet walked awfully close to her stall. Then they stopped at the next one.

Finishing her business, when she was about to open her door, the intruder helped her open it, then pushing her against the stall wall.

Her back to the intruder, as she just stood there frozen.

A pair of hands, taking her own and putting them above her head.

All by yourself.

Tina scared, Im with my friends, they should be coming for me any minute.

Pressing herself against Tina, You shouldnt be all by yourself. Someone might take advantage of you.

Youre wifes crazy for letting you out.

I didnt want to come out.

But you did, and I have a chance to see you. You know I havent seen you in awhile.

Now too close for comfort just inches away from the back of her neck, she tried to turn around.

I dont want to ever let go T. Having enough of this little game and turning her around.

Letting her hands go to cup her face and kissing her. Releasing the kiss and having Bette in a weaken state.

Tina now taking Bettes hands and pushing her against the wall, Please dont fight me.

Bettes eyes looking up as Tina made her way down.
