I Fell In Love With A Straight Girl chpt 1
Story written on June 29, 2009 by chabet.
I woke my to the beeping of my alarm.
6:45 am the red blurred numbers told me.
I sighed and rolled over, "Getting a G.E.D. would be so much easier." I thought to myself has my alarm went off again, telling me it was now 7 am.
"Wake up!" my roommates voice outside my door called, "Your alarm is annoying."
I couldn’t agree with her more, and rolled out of bed, and staggered into the bathroom. Started the shower and stood happily naked in the warm water. Shower time always seemed to be the best part of my morning, to be able to plan for the day and reflect on yesterdays events. I washed my shaggy hair and my face, then sighed as I turned off the water and stepped out into the cold of the bathroom.
I was probably the only girl who didn’t spend hours getting ready for school, just a fast shower and a clean shirt was all I needed to get my day started. After getting dress i walked into the dinning room to find my roommate Bette sitting at the table reading the paper. "Good morning" she said looking up from her paper with a smile. "Goodmoring" another voice who belong to the blonde in the kitchen said. "Morning’" I said to both of them and walked into the kitchen to see toast and orange juice sitting on the contoner.
I stood and ate and drank my juice fast, "thanks Tina, but i gotta run, the bus is on its way" I said as she offered me eggs.
Laughing Tina hug me and wished me a good day, I wished Bette a good day as I ran out the door, and caught the bus just in time. I walked to the back and sat close to the window with my headphones on, music turned up all the way. It was always better to block out the sound of these kids, yelling and screaming. It was hard being the only senior on the bus.
The bus, like the shower was another part of my day where I could sit and reflect, no one ever bothered me because of my "lesbian parents" although Bette and Tina were only in their late twenties, and were just my roommates. But that was the story of high school. No one could ever believe the truth just the silly rumors that were leaked from the mil. Even if these kids knew the truth, they wouldn’t even look at me, they would probably try to kick me out of this school.
