“Oh, no, it’s ok. I’m- I think I’ll just figure it out on my own. I
mean, I should figure it out on my own. Not that I don’t want your
help, but-”

“Hey, it’s ok. I was just offering. But anyway, listen, if you ever
bump into me again-and i hope it’s not like this-hah, um, my name is
Alice. So uh, yeah, I’ll be here if you need a guide one of these days.”

“Oh, yeah, sorry about that whole bumping into you thing. And thanks, I’m Dana.”

“Dana…” Alice felt weird saying this girl’s name in a strange,
flirtatious  way, but she couldn’t help it. This girl was hot.

Dana was feeling the same way, even though she tried not to display her
emotions. She couldn’t help but grin when she heard Alice say her name.
Yet, she also couldn’t come out to a girl she barely knew. And she
didn’t even think Alice was *****. “Ok, well thanks. And sorry again.”

The girls had bumped into each other five minutes earlier. Alice was
hurrying to The Planet to meet her friends, and was grabbing for some
money in her purse when out of nowhere came Dana, running around the
corner. They smashed into each other, falling to the ground. Alice has
dropped her  bag, and everything had fallen out. Dana had been so
embarassed and had tried to help Alice, but Alice was pissed off and
mumbling words, that is, until she saw Dana. There was an instant
attraction, and though they both had felt it, they did nothing about
it, parting without exchanging numbers or anything. Just their names.

“Why the ***** didn’t I insist that I help her out? And why did I just
tell her my name? *****, I’m a dumbass.” Alice felt extremely stupid
walking into The Planet. She headed to her table of friends, where she
sat down, hiding the fact that she felt like she had just made a
horrible mistake. What was it about Dana that made her want to be with
her? They had just met, that’s all. She didn’t even know the girl, and
sadly, probably never would. Yet, there was just something there.
