Chapter 12

Tina was sat by the pool enjoying the fresh morning sun, going over the events of the morning, just wondering if Bette has realised just what has been in front of her for the past few months. ‘’ God I miss her so much, her touch and god her kiss, but I just can’t carry on anymore, not like this. It’s just the same as before, work….. work and more work god dam it. I mean I’ve dropped my days down at the centre, is it too much to ask for her to come home at a decent hour at least.’’

‘’ No its not’’ the familiar voice stated from the other side of the fence, which startled Tina.

‘’ Jesus Shane, you scared the shit out of me, was I talking aloud?’’

Shane popped through the fence and took a seat next to Tina. ‘’ Yeah, I’m afraid you were. Don’t worry Tee, I’m alone. Things not going too well with Bette?’’

‘’Oh I don’t know Shane, she’s becoming a workaholic again and we haven’t exactly been intimate lately ya know’’.

‘’ She’s Scared’’. Shane said taking a drag of her cigarette.

‘’What?’’ Tina sounded Surprised.

‘’ Tee, she doesn’t want to fuck it up again, what she doesn’t realise is that she has slipped back into her old habit, but I think after what you said this morning, you have given her food for thought.’’

‘’ You heard that? Oh god , that means that Alice heard it as well, I’m surprised that she hasn’t called yet to get the low down.’’ Tina said rubbing her temple.
