    Bette’s POV

    I’m conscious again. It is not that dark outside, looks like early morning, the other guy is standing at the window, deep in thought. I decided to talk to him try to understand him.

    Bette: “Hey can speak to you?”

    Tim: “Yes go ahead.”

    Bette: “What is your name?”

    Tim: “My name is Tim…… Why do you want to know?”

    Bette: “I’m trying to get to know you, try to understand why you want to kill me. You don’t look like a bad guy and I see you are married.”

    Tim: “I’m not a bad guy…….”

    Bette: “So why do you want to kill me?”

    Tim: “Money, everything is about money, and I need to get money as quick as possible otherwise my daughter……”

    Bette: “What about your daughter?”

    Tim: “My daughter is sick, she needs a heart transplant, and I don’t have the money. The medical aid will pay for half of it, but I need about a hundred thousand more.

    Bette: “So Ben is paying a hundred thousand dollars to kill me?”

    Tim: “No 10 000 dollars, it is a 100 000 Rand. That will be enough to pay for my daughter.”

    Bette: “So you become a criminal just too safe your daughter. Go to jail to safe your daughter.”

    Tim: “Yes wouldn’t you do it for your daughter as well?”

    Bette: “I will yes. Is this your farm?”

    Tim: “Yes it is, it was my great grandfathers, this farm is in the family for so long, and I know I can sell it, but the market is not that good, I will lose at the end. Anyway Ben’s got his fingers in my farm as well. I did something in my past that is not good and he is busy blackmailing me. If this comes out I will go to jail. I know it.”

    Bette: “Maybe I can help you, listen I’ve got 4 daughters and a loving wife, I need to be with them. I will pay for your daughter operation, we can go to America to have the operation there. I can help you. Just help me to get out of here. If you let me go and help me to get Ben behind bars, I will help you, I promise you I will help you.”

    Tim: “You want me to believe you?”

    Bette: “Yes please you have to believe me.”

    Tim: “I don’t like Ben, I think he is a coward and I would like to see him behind bars, how are we going to do this?”

    Bette: “Do you have a recorder, I need to record everything. I have to get this whole story out in the open, so when Ben comes back I have to push him to tell the truth, we will need to record it and play it back to the police. Can you help me with that?”

    Tim: “Yes I can.”

    Bette: “Good go get the recorder.”

    A while later everything was in place ready for Ben……….

    5. it’s really a big mess! I expected so much already an update, but not quite what I expected.
      When we had to get rid of Ben? a coward, and he has had too much in the picture.
      I don’t trust Tim, but unfortunately Bette’s just no other chance, I hope her plan will work.
