Tina felt fear like she had never felt before. The chill that went down her spine was like no other that she had felt before. There was an other world quality to this fear. She knew that she had stood in this place before, in a time she could not name, where she had made the wrong choice. She had acted out of fear and denied what her heart knew to be true. This time she would follow her heart.
Bette felt fear like she had never felt before. The chill that went down her spine was like no other that she had felt before. There was an other world quality to this fear. She knew that she had stood in this place before in a time she could not name, where she had ‘stood firm in the tempest’ and lost everything that was dear to her. She knew that her blind faith in love had disappointed her.
Bette looked down the road as far as her imagination could take her. She weighed what she knew. She knew the love she had with Tina would never disappear, it was eternal, the question was could they live that love. They had tried and failed. The love that she had with Rosanna was deep. It was a love that she sensed would only grow over time.
Clarity hit her hard, no matter which way she turned she would be taking a leap of faith. For Bette it was a win, win-lose, lose situation. She would love again and hurt again. Starting over with Tina offered her the chance to have her family intact. She wanted that for Angelica. She had grown up with one parent and knew that her father had done the best he was capable of. Even if she decided to be with Rosanna she would remain a part of Angelica’s everyday life but it would not be the same as her growing in a family unit. The tipping point in her mind was Angelica and as a mother she could make no other choice.
"I’m saying that I want to try again with you Tina. I want us to be a family.” She met the hazel eyes which searched hers.

Although I’m happy for the family reunion, there just seems to be something missing. I truly hope Bette is sincere in this not being only about puting her family back together. I’m sure Tina will do everything in her power to continue to make sure Bette doesn’t regret her decision. A win for all. Now on to the other ending.

As happy as that makes me feel, to know that Ro is crushed, regardless that she knew one day it would come….breaks my heart. Thankfully I think bette made the right decision, she needed this time away with Ro, to grow as a person. Tina as well needed to understand her love and desire for Bette, that it was her hearts calling and the fear to be let go…so very beautiful…more??
Oh, why are WE torn. That was it. That was the ending if it was really the ending to END with. If not, I definitely love to see Bette and Tina PROVE that they are together because they NEED and LOVE each other and for Anglica it is a bonus to have loving parents.
Wonderful chapter….just don’t think Bette is doing it for the right reasons. Then again, I would have rather seen her end up with Rosanna. Great story though, you are very talented.

Great update K. It seems that Bette took all the relevant factors into consideration and made a decision that, as she said, is best for all. There’s no point speculating what would have been if Angelica wasn’t involved… her happiness and well-being is a factor that vital to Bette and Tina’s sanity. And there’s no denial of the love that Bette has for Tina. Tina is part of her soul and while Bette would accept a reality without her if that’s Tina’s desire…that reality was never Bette’s desire. Let’s know what happens with Ro and Kay ( and maybe even Theresa). PPS.
You have done a great job with this story. Imagine creating a brand new character that gave Tina some really serious competition, with Bette AND with readers. Liked Bette’s epiphany.
Bette will do everything in her power to love Tina and she will comimit herself to her belief. Tina will give her all and Bette will not ever want for her love and devotion. Angie will be one lucky little girl. thanks
