    I Wouldn’t Change A Single Thing 7

After a long awkward car ride, Dana, Shane and I reach Mario’s Caf. We piled out of my car, making our way to the door.

I adjusted my pants, pulling my shirt down.

“You look nice today, Alice,” Dana complimented me. I knew I made the right wardrobe choice.

I felt the blood rush to my cheeks, instantly blushing, “Thanks Dane. Youwell you look really nice too.” I know I must have the cheesiest smiled plastered on my face as I had to restraint myself from giggling.

Shane sheds a half smile, “Guys, our table is ready.”

Walking next to Dana I have the strongest urge to intertwine my fingers with hers, but I resist.

“Oh *****, you know what guys I totally forgot I’m suppose to meet a client today at 2,” Shane informs us.

I glance at my watch, noticing it’s now 1:30. I shake my head, cutting my eyes at Shane, “Well, we could do this some other time.”

“Nono, you and Dana are already here you two stay. Enjoy lunch,” Shane insists.

“I think that would be nice, Alice,” Dana interjects.

I don’t know about this. What are we going to talk about? How perfect her life was until she found out she hashas cancer? How ***** great and wonderful her girlfriend is and oh yeah, by the way, she can cook too.

I suck my teeth, “Well, how are you going to get to your “appointment” Shane? I mean, I drove you here.”

Shane rises to her feet, “You don’t worry about that, ok? You and Dane just catch up.” She smiles, patting us on our shoulders, “Have a big plate of pasta for me, eh?”

I try not to, but I smile lightly chuckling, “Ok. But we get a rain check, right?”

Shane starts to walk towards the door, turning around snapping her fingers, “Of course. See you two later.” With Dana’s back to her, she mouths to me, “Go for it.”

Go for what? I laugh. “What’s so funny?” Dana asks.

    “Oh nothing.”

We place our orders, sipping on our drinks as we wait.

“So, uhmuhwell, how have you been?” Dana tries to break the ice.

    1. How could Dana just leave Alice for somebody she wasn’t even in love with? Outrageous. :-P I can’t wait to see where they are gonna go from here. Are they gonna talk about their issues or what? I’d demand to know why Lara. Ew.

    2. Shane ditched them, how convenient, lol. Like the conversation between them, but it makes me sad…. Now I hope they at least kiss in the next chapter….. please. Looking forward to seeing where this goes. Thanks.

    3. Shane is probably the best friend they will ever have lol. Great to see the two of them talking again and Dana telling Alice how she feels was wonderful. Good update!
