    A Season

Some people come into your life for a SEASON,

because your turn has come to share, grow or learn.

They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.

They may teach you something you have never done.

They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.

Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.

    ~ Aleksandra Lachut

Tina often thought of how destiny brought her to Bette and every time she does it always led her back to the Lake House. She was thankful for having met Bette. She was everything she asked for a friend, partner and lover. She was thankful for having known the Lake House. It brought her calm and peace whenever she was there and it also brought her love. Love that she patiently looked for especially when she thought of settling for someone else; when she thought of settling for Helena.

It was Helena who first brought Tina to the Lake House and she immediately fell in love with it. Helena brought her out on a date and told her she has something to show Tina. It was also Helena who got the place for Tina. It was intended that they were going to live together but the commute and its surroundings was not a fit for Helena. For Tina however, it was the perfect fit.

“Where are we headed?” Tina asked Helena. They were on a road that she did not recognize.

“I want to show you something. With your fondness of water I thought you’d like this.” Helena told Tina with a smile.

They arrived at their destination and Helena parked the car. She then helped Tina out of the car and they walked around. Tina gasped when she saw the Lake House.

    “It’s beautiful.” Tina said.

“It is. You like it?” Helena asked.

    “I do.”

    “How did you find this?”

“I met the architect who was heading the project up town. I was looking at her recent project, you know, trying to see if I may be interested in getting a place there and she told me about this place. I went here and checked it and instantly knew you’d love it.”

Tina did not say a word. Instead she just wrapped her arms around Helena’s neck and gave her a soft kiss on the lips.
