“Babe I know you don’t like him but please hear me out, ok?”
The brunette took a deep breath “Alright”
“I was in the gym a few months ago when I saw him again…” Bette’s brows furrowed, Tina lovingly stroked the brunette’s brows and said “…I know you’ll think that he probably flirted with me again but he didn’t, he was actually there to pick up his fiancée”
“Oh that’s a surprise!” Bette answered
“That was the same reaction that I had…”the blonde giggled
“He told me that it was a whirlwind romance but he’s so happy and in love so you don’t have anything to worry about, he even apologized for coming on to me that day at the grocery. Anyway, he asked me for a cup of coffee, we talked about our jobs and little did I know I was already having a good time. He was funny and easy to talk to which was a total opposite of that flirty guy that you’ve first met. Anyhow Dean told me that he’s been working with the US Attorney’s office for a few years now and he always knew that I wanted to practice criminal law, so he was so surprised when he learned that I‘m into litigation. We’ve talked some more and then out of the blue he asked me if I’d still want to be a criminal lawyer and I said yes and then bam! He said that he can arrange an interview with Ross Mulcahy for me!” the blonde said smiling
US Attorney Ross Mulcahy of the Central District of California had been the head of the Los Angeles-based office for three years now; he’s already in mid fifties and was known to be a man with an extraordinary character. Not only he command excellence, he built excellence and so people admired him and looked up to him.
“Wow Tee that’s sounds great! I know Ross Mulcahy is going to love you!” Bette said proudly
“Thanks baby but that meeting was like ages ago and I don’t know if Dean’s offer still stands”
“Tee just give him a call and tell him that you’ll be honored to do that interview with Mulcahy”
“So you’re not angry?”
“Why would I be? That’s a great news and I’m sure you’ll get in” the brunette replied with conviction

Hey phacey thanks for the new update! Glad to know that Tina will not stay at the firm, she’s right, with Bette not being there anymore there’s no reason for her to stay. It’s her chance now to pursue whatever she wants in her career. As for Bette, with everythng that happened to her she definitely needed a break! Great to see another chapter of this story. Great update. Hopefully this is about what has happened to Bette and Peggy gets to help her keep her job. Always disliked Alice but maybe she is helping this time. Thanks for posting.
