    “Take it off, take it off, take it off.” Helena starts and the rest join it.  “Take it off, take it off take it off.”
    “How about I take off!” Bette feigns being upset and stands up from the table.  All them stop their chanting.  Instead of walking away from the table like they expect her to do.  She took off her light weight jacket in a strip tease fashion and shock them all.
    “Okay enough talk about that stripper crap.  She says as she sat back down.  “Now, where’s my coffee?”
     Chapter 13
    The girls sat around the table chatting, eating, and of course gossiping.  Alice’s favorite past time.  Bette wasn’t big on gossip but she wouldn’t tune them out or get negative about them doing it.  She once heard this saying that stuck with her for years. ‘Small minds talk about people, average minds talks about events and great minds talk about ideas.’  So she tended to keep her opinions about some topics to herself.  If she wasn’t going to add something positive she decided to keep her mouth shut if it really had nothing to do with her.  But if it had to do with her that was an entirely different story.  She was known to rant and vent when someone pissed her off.   And some days it didn’t take much.  Today wasn’t going to be one of those days.  Remember she had a smile on her heart that showed up on her face.  Yes the blond was on her mind something fierce this afternoon. She had been tuning out the girl’s gossip session and was daydreaming about one Ms Tina.
    “Earth to Bette” Alice had said it several times before Bette snapped out of her daze.
    “Yes.  I am sorry….what?” everyone grinning at her.
    “What you thinking about?” asks teasingly Shane “That blond from last night?  Alice just got through tell us all about it.   Got to wait two weeks, huh?
    Shooting a look at Alice. “What you didn’t make me pinkie swear or anything.”
    “Damn Alice I didn’t think is was necessary.  But then again who I am fuckin kidding you never keep you mouth shut.”

Nice. this story makes me do the happy because the premise is so unique. So many possibilities with regard to how society at large views strippers. Well I am along for the journey!
