Imprisoned; The Missing Years Chapter 25

When they landed in New York their car was ready and drove them back to Peggy’s house.

Helena walked upstairs to her room, when she opened the door to her room she noticed a big stack of boxes in the corner of her enormous room. As usual her mother used her room for storage, Helena never really thought of this room as her room. Her room was at school this was just a place she stayed a couple of nights a year. This house wasn’t home school was.

She placed her bag on her bed and got her pj’s out, quickly she got dressed and brushed her teeth in her bathroom. The good thing about the house was it was so big she didn’t had to run into her mother when she didn’t want to.

Quickly she went to bed, she felt empty because Jamey was so far away from her, she decided to call her in the morning.

Helena woke up that morning and didn’t know where she was at first until she heard the angry voice of her mother in the other room.

‘No I told you I don’t want to be called at home? My daughter is here and we need to spend some time together. You can call me again next week okay? No I don’t want to listen now. Alright bye’

Helena pulled her sheets over her head trying not to hear her mother.

Actually she had no clue what she was doing in New York, she lived her life and her mother hers until she went back to school.

She heard a knock on the door but didn’t bother to answer because her mother came bursting into her room already.

‘Helena, Helena darling wake up José made you breakfast and after that we could go to the city and visit some museums or go shopping whatever you like’ Peggy said with a smile on her face.

This is so my mother Helena thought, always she tried to do the right thing but all their appointments got cancelled anyway.

‘Yeah okay I’ll be right down’ She answered from under the sheets.

Her mother left her room and Helena got up, before she took a shower she looked in her bag for a piece of paper she quickly found.
