It was ten minutes to eight. Bette and Jodi walked into The Planet, joining their friends at a table that was specially reserved for them.
“ Hey Bette! Hey Jodi! “ They greeted.
Both Bette and Jodi smiled warmly, greeting them back.
They then settled down as the friends caught up with each other, sharing about what went on for the last few weeks.
It was five minutes before 8. Almost everyone had arrived except for Helena.
“ So, Is Helena joining us? “ Bette asked, trying to sound casual.
“ Yeah. She said she would be turning up. “ Alice responded, squinting her eyes, to look for Helena.
“ There she is! “ Alice exclaimed, waving her hand frantically, trying to catch Helena’s attention.
Bette turned around quickly to look for Helena. She was, somehow, excited to see Helena. She had missed Helena.
“ Wow, who’s she with. “ Jenny commented, watching Helena and Ashlee make their way to the table.
“ Some hot doctor that Shane and I set her up with, like two weeks ago. “ Alice grinned proudly, looking at Shane.
Bette’s heart sank after seeing Helena holding another woman’s hand. No, no, no. You should be happy for her, besides, you have Jodi, She thought to herself. With that thought, Bette managed a smile to greet Helena and her friend.
“ Hello everyone, I hope we didn’t keep you waiting. “ Helena smiled politely, making as little eye contact as possible with Bette.
“ No, not at all. “ Kit responded.
Helena then introduced, “ Everyone, this is Ashlee. Ashlee, meet everyone. “
Ashlee then shook hands with everyone else who was seated at the table, greeting them with a bright smile.
After the brief introduction, Helena and Ashlee settled down at their seats, which was directly opposite Bette and Jodi. Helena avoided any eye contact with Bette as dinner began.
Bette had to admit that the doctor was hot. And watching Helena being happily involved with that doctor had made her feel slightly jealous. Be happy for her, she reminded herself again and again.
Her thoughts were then disrupted by Jodi tapping her. Are you okay, Jodi signed.

Hey risque! Somehow I feel like somebody (maybe darkhawk *at this point a ‘hello’ to you =)* *winks*) already said it before: Don’t sell yourself short! This chap is perfect! So keep it coming, I’d like to see some drama, too *laughs* Really nice how you included Bette and Helena’s past and that there is something unprocessed between them…some sort of (remaining) tension… I’m curious where this takes us. And darkhawk is right, there shouldn’t be secrets.. Secrets imply trouble…Thanks for sharing, pps w
Hello risque, that was wonderful, I love how you had Bette jealous, I am a true blue BeLena shipper so anything with them. It is nice to see that she realizes what she has lost in Helena, and you never know what might come out… well you might know since it is your story but I don’t. Also I think Ashlee might want to come straight with Helena in regards to Sarah keeping these kinds of secrets could cause rifts in their relationship… but alas there needs to be something to bring on the drama. Agree with the above. Late posting cause I had to go back to catch up.. You can feel the tension between Helena and Bette. Helena can’t look at Bette in the eyes. It’s not as over as they would like it to be!
