They laid in bed facing each other only an hour later. They had fallen asleep and woke back up. It was something about being together, the energy, that brought them back from slumber even when they felt that they would fall out. Helena traced Bette’s features with her fingertips. She was trying to imprint this art on to her brain somehow, so she woul never forget this night and how beautiful Bette was at that moment. How could she forget? It was the most amazing sex she’d ever have. It was a life-altering feeling. She knew that there would be nobody who could please her so fully after this.

Bette ran her hand underneath the sheets, running fingertips gingerly against Helena’s stomach. She ran them over her hips. She watched Helena’s eyes open and close, her body shuddered underneath Bette’s touch. Bette brought her lips to hers. It was funny, really. Helena Peabody was lying in her bed, enjoying her touch, admiring her. Helena Peabody?! The most unlikely bedmate. She saw herself doing Peggy Peabody before Helena.

"This is ridiculous. You do know that?"

Helena nodded, "Yes. Absolutely absurd. It is truly absurd that you are as beautiful as you are. It should be a crime."

"Are you trying to win me over with compliments?"

"I think I’ve won you over in another way, honey." Bette rolled her eyes, "But I understand. I never thought I’d be lying in your bed, totally smitten with you and ready to change my name to ‘Bette Porter’s Love Slave’. I honestly thought my mum would find her way into your bed before me."

"You too? I was thinking the same thing!"

"My mother is absolutely in love with you."

"And I’m completely head over heels for her." Helena smiled brightly at Bette, "But I don’t think a relationship would work with her. She’s a cougar."

"She is quite predatory." Helena was silent for a moment, "So, what’s next?"

Another moment of silence passed, "I don’t think we should go for a relationship right now. We have entirely too much baggage, and I would never put anybody through a relationship with me right now."

"I understand."

"Are you upset with me?"

"No, I’m relieved. Honestly, I was scared that we’d end up shacking up by the end of the week." Bette smirked, "But I’d like to continue doing what we did tonight, keeping it from the rest of the girls, of course."
