It’s Not Always Easy
She reached for her, with a hand fully encircled on her tiny wrist. The grip was filled with the same longing and desire they felt when their lips first touched the other. Fortunately, it was tight enough to make the blonde halt from her steps and reconsider… Just as the other turned to face the beautiful woman holding her, it felt like she was about to lose the balance. Her mind struggled to keep her in touch with her senses, saying that all these could be from the alcohol she’s drowning herself with. She had too much to drink that night and only a superior being other than herself would know exactly why. The alcohol could have been a perfect excuse– to bring clarity to whatever she’s feeling. Another possibility could also be from the hope that Brenda would turn out to be her rightful match. To her dismay, she had to leave the SheBar with nothing left inside even with whatever she’s struggling to keep alive.
What have I got to offer you Bette? At that moment, her mind tried to reason with her, placing the blonde in a logical stance. I’m utterly broken and no matter how hard I try to move forward, I still can’t get past what happened. It will haunt me every time I look at you. But as soon as I close my eyes, I’m sure to find only one image in my mind. God, your smile almost sends shiver through my spine.
“T,” a silent whisper almost turned into a plea.
That’s when Tina was caught up between moving and thinking.
“Don’t say anything,” staring directly through her eyes, “we both might regret.”
“I need to know,” Bette started.
“…know what?” Tina decided to play it coy, hoping that it will turn out to be just one of her wishful thinking.
This time she held Tina’s hand and placed it above her chest where her heart is obviously beating faster than it should.
“By the way you look at me, I think we know already,” Tina took one last look before she bowed her head down trying to hide.
“It’s not easy,” Bette whispered through her ear.
“It’s not always easy, but it is simple,” Tina offered.

It’s about time Bete had that cold conversation with Jodi. She needs to end it before starting with Tina. PPS
Bette needs to get Jodie out of life. post more
Wow, that was emotionally powerful. I love that Bette told Tina she wasn’t going to let her go anywhere. No more running! Brilliant writing!
