Chapter 15: “Ready to go home?”

It was mid morning, Bette and Tina were still wrapped in each other’s arms and neither of them had felt so content in their lives. They were unaware that Helena had come back to supervise the clean up after the party. Helena enters the apartment. She smiles as she saw clothes lying in heaps on the floor. She tiptoes into the bedroom to see Bette with her arms wrapped around Tina in a loving and protective embrace. They looked so peaceful and in love. Helena was happy for them. She shakes her head and quietly goes back downstairs to tell the multitude of cleaners etc to be as quiet as possible so they didn’t wake the sleeping lovers. But Bette was a light sleeper and had heard Helena giving out her instructions. Bette slowly opens her eyes, props herself up on her free arm with her elbow and looks lovingly upon the sleeping form of Tina lying in her arms. Images of last night came flashing back to her, she smiles at the memories. She softly begins to run her hand down Tina’s face and arm just so she could feel her lover’s skin under her fingertips. Tina is awoken by Bette’s stroking and turns in Bette’s arms so she’s looking up at her lover

“Good morning” Tina smiles softly and stretches herself gently

“Good morning to you too” Bette smiles then lowers her lips to Tina’s and gives her soft, loving kiss “Last night was fantastic” Bette couldn’t disagree. It was fantastic but it also increased the strength of the connection between them. Their connection was now unbreakable

“I love you” Tina raises a hand to Bette’s face and gently caresses her cheek. Bette closes her eyes briefly at the initial contact of Tina’s hand to her face

“I love you too more than you will ever know” Bette kisses Tina more passionately this time, gathering Tina up in her arms. At that moment Helena enters the bedroom to see if they were awake and her mouth drops in shock. She regains her composure and clears her throat. Bette and Tina smile and break their kiss then looking at Helena

“Good morning lovebirds” they smile. They were so grateful to Helena. She was the one that brought them back to together “Productive night I take it” Bette and Tina couldn’t compress the smiles that appear on their faces as they sit up making sure the bed sheet covers enough of them
