    The “lost” chapter. Jess finds Bette waiting for her to return from her date.

    Tonight my date ended, which I didn’t want to happen, but it kind of had to. You know, it was me and Luis on the porch. He walked me up there since he tends to do stuff like that. But, it was weird, you know.

     

    However, there, out in front of the house, his mom was sitting in the car. I saw the lights on in the living room, so I knew mom was waiting up for me.

     

    And, on top of everything, I kind of wanted him to kiss me and stuff.

     

    But how’s he gong to do that when his mom’s watching, my mom’s waiting, and it’s the porch and the light’s on all that.

     

    What the heck. Why wait? I kissed him.

     

    I think Luis has been working on his kissing. Gosh, I hope not, though, since that means he’d have been kissing someone else.

     

    Still, I think he’s gotten a bit better at it. I mean, I did have a little comparison time, myself. Not that I would consider myself an expert, but I am getting better at it.

     

    So, there I was with who knows how many sets of eyes on me, but it didn’t matter. It was Luis, and we wanted to be kissing, and we did.

     

    It’s safe to say we’re dating again.

     

    Way dating. With more kissing to prove it.

     

    But not too much more since it was pretty close to a public place, and especially since Luis’s mother was sitting right out there and all. So we said good night, and he waited to make sure I got in the door.

     

    He’s like that.

     

    But what was really weird, not like the date and stuff because that wasn’t weird at all. No, what was weird was when I got inside, mom wasn’t there. Porter was.

     

    She was sitting on the couch and smiling, sort of, but not looking really happy. Not like mad, or something. I don’t know.

     

    Anyway, she was looking at me, I guess, since I looked behind me, and there was no one else there. I kind of peeked around towards the kitchen. “Where’s mom?”

Pseud,All of the pieces have fallen into place with that ‘missing’ chapter.I do believe that the Jess iceberg is beginning to melt a little and seeing the advantages of having Bette in her life.Every now and then we all need a sounding board to listen as we discuss our most private thoughts and desires.It helps if this person is experienced in this area and yep, Jess has a good’ un in Bette.I do love the lightness in whioch you capture these life moments. This makes them more delightful and something to savour.Now on to Chapter 86 as you gotta get Tina to let Bette explain and rebuild their tenuous relationship once more.Thoroughly enjoyable.More soon, real soon.Your Loyal Fan.

    5. This is going to be a long comment. I don’t usually take time to comment on the stories that I read and don’t read alot since I am trying to keep up writing my own but this story is excellent and should be continued. I look for an update everytime I come in here!Onto this chapter – I LOVE this Bette! She handled that so well and I could actually see this conversation taking place. I think that Jess is warmin gup to her but more importantly this seemed to me to be a test on how Bette does as a Mom. I think Jess appreciated the way that Bette handled this and now that could be ruined because of Tina and her temper! Please have Jess make this right between them and have Tina see how Bette was trying to be a good mom which is what they both wanted!

    6. Yes, this has to continue past 85. Tina has to know that Bette and Jess connected and that Bette is being a mother to her daughter. Tina should be glad Jess didn’t try to figure things out on her own. Man Bette just can’t win with her!

    7. First off, you should definitely continue this story. It is one of my favorites.Second, I can kind of see how Tina might be pissed. I don’t think Bette should have promised Jess that she wouldn’t tell Tina. Bette just came in to her life and is taking her to clinics and getting her birth control and stuff. That is something that she probably should have talked to Tina about. I don’t think any adult should promise a child that they aren’t going to tell the kid’s parents. Third, pretty please continue the story!

    9. you writers. why are you so insecure????? past 85. which drugs are you taking??? its makes much more sense now. and hell tina needs a few xanax and some shots. tell her to calm the tell down. i mean OVERREACTING? not tina. thanks sweetie.

    10. Wow, she finally is getting Jess’s trust and then blows it by telling Tina. I’m not sure what she should have done in ch 84, but I think she would have been better off in the long run if she had not mentioned sex and Jess in the same sentence to Tina. Now where is she, in the parking lot of some convenience store without a cell phone. Our girl is in some trouble…how are you going to get her out of this one??? Eagerly awaiting 86!

    15. PLEASE continue the story…I would like to see Jess stand up for Bette and tell Tina about theire conversation then I think Tina will have some kissing up to do. Lots to write about so please, again continue with this. Thanks a bunch

Kind of like mother, like daughter? I like seeing Jess asking Bette for advice. Hope she will not be mad at Bette for too long for breaking her promise to not tell Tina. And then onto defend Bette!!     24. Wow, the hidden chapter is very important. I think Bette still doesn’t get used to be a mom. But it’s a good thing at some point. Bette’s more like a close friend, big sister or daddy to Jess and Jess needs it more than another mom.

You can’t leave it with Bette sitting in her car, Tina jumping to all kinds of conclusions, and Jess not having a clue what’s going on in the strike zone.     38. I think you should continue with the story. Have Jess explain to Tina that she was curious about when to take a relationship to a physical level, and she aske Bette for advice. I think everything is a really big misunderstanding on Tina’s part. She should think about her actions (because they do speak louder than words) and see that she is blowing things way out of proportion. Have her open up her mind and her heart to the one and only Bette Porter.

    39. if you won’t continue past ch. 85, i personally will hunt you down LOL, you better continue, tina’s overreacting, even though i can see her point of view and bette is totally an innocent victim here and now tina is mad at her and jess will be mad at her and bette has to go to NY still, it’s a mess and you need to fix it
