The days until their romantic Hawaiian get away could not pass quickly enough for Bette and Tina. The were trying to finalize their plans for the vacation as well as complete as much work as humanly possible at their jobs so that they would be able to go on their vacation worry free. Bettes art exhibit opening had gone off without a hitch and weeks later she was still receiving rave reviews full of song and praise for her eye for up and coming artistic talent. Being the over achiever that she was, Bette was already pushing papers and doing research on new artists that she wanted to include in her next opening a few months away. Tina had also enjoyed a successful few weeks at the development firm and was quickly becoming one of the most sought after development execs after the success of a few summer blockbuster movies that she had over seen.

Since both Bette and Tina had been working long hours, and even weekends, they werent spending as much time as they would like to together and decided to call it an early day at the office and spend a nice quiet evening together at home. Tina was in the kitchen cooking dinner and Bette was sitting at the dining room table doing some research on each of the Hawaiian Islands. Although the original idea was to take a boat cruise out to the Aloha state, both Bette and Tina had decided that although on the cruise they would get to se each of the islands, they would feel rushed and wouldnt be able to really enjoy their time on each island. So instead of the cruise they opted for an island-hopping getaway, picking three of the islands to visit and spend time on, saving the others for a possible return in the future.

Hey T, I know that we said we would go to Hawaii and Kauaibut which island should we pick as our third destination?
Well I heard that Oahu has a lot of touristy things to do there since its their big city, but since its our first trip out there maybe we should stick with seeing some of the natural beauty that Hawaii has to offer. That way we can really relax and enjoy ourselves.
Yeah T, but if I have my way, we wont be sight seeing too much!

Well I asked around the office, and Janet told me that if I have the chance we should try and go to Maui. The sunrises atHa..HaleHale-a,,,man, Im not even going to try and pronounce it. But the sunrises from one of the mountains there are supposed to be spectacular.
Sounds great. We should look into that. And since we discussed renewing our vows on this trip, maybe that will be the perfect backdrop for the occasion.
Mmm, it does sound just perfect doesnt it? Well let me finish up dinner and we can decide on it. But we have to make a decision quickly so that we can let everyone know, that way they can start making their arrangements as well. You know that theyre excited to have been included in the trip.well part of it at least.

Over dinner, conversation flowed smoothly between Bette and Tina, each thoroughly enjoying each others company. Their conversation covered everything between work, friends and their long over due trip. Bette couldnt help but giggle at the excitement that could be heard in Tinas voice each time they talked about their anniversary trip to paradise. Tina was like a toddler that finds out they are going to Disneyland for the first time, practically bouncing off the walls with excitement and full of ideas about what to do on the trip.

Imagine all the things we could do out there babe. On Hawaii we could see the volcano or the lava flow, view the stars from up high in the mountains, kayak freshwater streams, hikegosh theres so much to do! We could even go big game fishing for marlin!

Yeah and there is so much more! And on Kauai we can visit the grand canyon of the Pacific, take a catamaran around the coast, go horseback riding, visit the filming locations for dozens of Hollywood films..you knowthat Disney movie Lilo and Stitch was inspired by Kauai, in fact many of the scenes are actual places on the island.

Yeah! Gosh there is so much more that we can do on those 2 islands aloneand imagine what we could do on Mauiespecially since everyone will be joining us for that part of the trip.

Hey! Ive been busy babereally busy. Its just that Im sooooo excited to be spending our 10th anniversary out in Hawaii with you that every free minute I have at the office has been spent googling for things to do in Hawaii.
Hahahawell I cant lie. Ive been doing the same thing at the office. But I guess I have a bit of an advantage since Ive been having James do a lot of the research for me.

Bette and Tina quickly cleared the dinner table, sharing loving glances and little touches the whole time, conveying their love for each other to each other. Soon after they found themselves sharing a lounger, Tina nestled comfortably between Bettes arms and legs, wrapped in a loving embrace. They talked for a while longer about their vacation plans, before sitting quietly under the stars, no words needed to be spoken to convey the undying love that they felt for each other. They had been through many ups and downs over the past 10 years, each triumph and trial that they faced together added to the love that they had always shared.

Bette listened to Tinas slow even breathing, as she reveled in the feel of her wife wrapped within her arms embrace. It was quiet and simple moments like this that Bette enjoyed the most. It made her realize just how lucky she was to have such a beautiful and loving woman in her life.

Bette felt Tina move a little, making herself even more comfortable in Bettes arms. Her breathing indicated to Bette that she was falling asleep. Bette was also beginning to fall asleep and she hugged Tina a bit tighter before whispering in her ear,

Imagine T, soon well be sitting under the Hawaiian night sky, sipping Mai Tais and enjoying our second honeymoon.

Tina lifted her head so that she could look into Bettes deep brown eyes. She smiled before leaning in and gently brushing against Bettes soft full lips. Using her tongue, she parted Bettes petals of softness and kissed her with such passion and love that she took Bettes breath away, even after all these years, both women could still make their lovers hearts skip a beat and cause their breaths to catch as the feelings of true love coursed through their bodies. Pulling back a little, Tina smiled widely at Bette and winked before nestling her head comfortably on Bettes chest. Soon both women drifted off to sleep with smiles on their faces and beautiful dreams dancing in their heads of the trip that lay ahead of them. Neither could wait for the day that their romantical romp in paradise would beginmarking the beginning of a new chapter in their livestogether.
