Alice walked into her apartment berating herself for revealing her feelings to Dana. Feelings that she wasnt even sure she had or at least feelings that she knew she couldnt fully explain. All she knew was that she did not like Dana with Tonya. Just the thought of Dana returning to Tonya after her confession was enough to make her stomach turn. She tried to bury her insecurities but she was worried that she had made a mistake. What if Dana didnt feel the same way? Could they go back to being just friends? Would Dana even want to be around her?

All of Alices thoughts were brought to a halt when she saw Tina sitting on her couch. Alices breathe caught in her throat. Something was very wrong.



Dana stood outside of her house watching Alices car drive off down the street. She so wanted to follow her. Finish whatever it was that Alice had started but she was pulled from her daze from a voice behind her.

Dana? Honey, are you okay?

Dana turned around to see Tonya standing in the door. The sight of her sickened Danas stomach and she didnt know why. Just moments before Alice had come to her door they had been curled up in bed together talking. Now Dana wanted nothing more than to get rid of Tonya so that she could go and chase after Alice.

Yeah, sure, Im fine. Dana finally stuttered out a response.

Was that Alice? Tonya began to question. Why was she always questioning? Dana wasnt listening to what she was saying she was only trying to figure out a way she could leave. Finally she decided she needed some time to think and figure out what was going on.

Yeah, that was Alice. She needed to talk but said it could wait. I think its really important. I should really go to her place. Dana was hoping that her explanation would suffice but Tonya pried her for more details.

Really Dana, do you think that is necessary? I mean, if it was that important wouldnt she have stayed? Why dont you just come inside and well go back to bed. Then we can figure this all out in the morning.

Each time that Tonya said we it had grated a little more on Danas nerves. When Dana felt that Tonya was finished her rant she knew that she could not stay the night with this woman. No. Dana firmly stated. Alice is my friend and she needs me. Im going over there now and Ill be home later.

Tonya was a little surprised with Danas tone but wasted no time in trying to push herself upon Dana, Well, do you want me to come. I could help cheer her up.
No. Dana knew her tone was a little harsh but she was slowly getting fed up with Tonya right now. Ill be fine on my own, thanks. With that Dana walked inside, grabbed her purse and her keys and walked past a very stunned Tonya, Dont wait up, I probably wont be home until tomorrow.

Dana jumped into her car before she could hear Tonyas response. She did not know what she was doing or more importantly what she was feeling. She had been happy with the way that things were progressing with Tonya but now she was less sure. After Alices confession and that kiss, that earth shattering kiss! Dana knew that it sounded clich but her stomach began to flutter as she thought of the moment when Alice first kissed her. She didnt know what to do as she felt Alices lips upon hers. When Alice pulled back to look at her Dana was afraid that Alice felt she was making a mistake. But when she looked into her eyes Dana saw that Alice was waiting for her to decide, waiting for her to make the next move. Dana had done the only thing that she wanted to do at the moment and forgot about the consequences. She reached up and kissed Alice the way that she wanted to kiss her. Dana couldnt believe the power behind their kiss and had forgotten all about the world around them. It wasnt until Alice pulled away that reality set in and before Dana had a chance to talk Alice was gone.

Before she knew it Dana was parked out the front of Alices apartment. She turned the engine off and got out of the car. She saw that the lights were still on in Alices apartment and took that as a sign that Alice was still awake.

Standing outside of Alices door Dana began to worry if she was doing the right thing. She was torn between the life that she thought that she wanted with Tonya and the desire to be back in Alices arms, kissing her. Dana knew that she could not go back and face Tonya without figuring out what was between her and Alice so she raised her had and knocked.


The sound at the door startled the two women in the apartment. Tina had been clinging to Alice crying since she had tried to write Candaces name on the chart. At first Tina was struck with fear that it was Bette. But Bette had not even called her cell phone yet so she doubted that she would just show up at Alices apartment.

Alice had no idea who it was. She wasnt expecting anyone, least of all Dana. She figured that after she had left Dana had probably gone back inside to be with Tonya. Alice moved a little back from Tina, Do you want me stay? Im not expecting anyone. We can just ignore it if you want?

Tina shook her head, No, its okay Alice. She sniffled a little. But if its her please tell her Im not here. Alice nodded and gave Tina a sympathetic look.

As she opened the door Alices breathe caught in her throat. She had really not expected Dana to be standing outside her door.

Dana was the first to speak, Alice, can I come in? She waited for a response but was only meet with silence. Please? I think we really need to talk.

Now is not the time Dana.

Dana was going to defend herself but was surprised when Alice turned around and walked away from the door leaving it open. Dana slowly followed after her, Alice please I want to talk about Her voice was cut off when she entered the living room to find Alice sitting on the couch with Tina in her arms, crying. What? What happened?

Dana received no response and instead was given a wave by Alice to join them on the couch. She sat behind Tina and began to rub her back joining Alice in whispering soothing words into Tinas ears. She mouthed to Alice as to question what was going on but Alice just mouthed later.
