"Are you ok?" Bette whispered, nuzzling her in the crook of her neck.

"I am way better then ok, baby." Tina replied, stroking her hair lovingly.

Chapter Eight:

"How about we got to the Planet?" Bette asked once she started the engine, Tina looked over at her for a second not sure on whether she actually wanted to go out again or not.

But she did need to get out, "Yeah, that sounds good. We haven’t heard from the girls for a couple of days, have we?" Tina asked, frowning a little.

It was a little bit odd that Alice hadn’t called them. Usually she rang at least twice a day, inviting them to some place. Or if she didn’t get an answer she’d randomly turn up at the door. Both Bette and Tina had accepted it.

It took them another two hours to return to LA. Before they got to the Planet, Tina had called Alice and asked if she was still there since it was approaching one in the morning. Alice had said yes, she also said Dana, Shane and Jenny were there.

"Hey guys," Tina greeted them as they approached the table.

Bette and Tina sat down and ordered two coffees. They all sat and discussed what they were going to do the following week because Alice insisted they needed to spend more time together. Originally, Bette had disagreed and told her that they spent too much time together anyway.

An hour went by quickly, Tina and Bette excused themselves and left the Planet. Glad to be finally going home.

"How many hours do we have to spend with them to keep them happy?" Tina joked.

Bette just gave her a look, she was going to ask that question but she was going to ask it seriously. She hooked her hand into Tina’s and gave it a small squeeze. They slipped into a peaceful, comfortable silence. They saw the blue Saab parked across the other side of the road and started to cross.

That was when Tina spotted a mysterious figure beside an alleyway. Her heart started to speed up and her palms began to sweat. Bette grimaced and looked down at their locked hands, "Tina, baby, are you ok?" She asked, looking up at Tina’s panicked face.

Tina saw the man moving towards their car and she stopped in the centre of the road. Bette impatiently tugged at her arm before following her line of sight and seeing the man. Her curious expression turned into a deep frown. Who was he?

"Tina baby, come on now," Bette spun around and led Tina back towards the Planet. Tina rushed along beside her, every so often looking over her shoulder back at the man. Her eyes widened when she saw him following.

"Bette, he’s coming." Tina whispered, her voice full of worry. "What does he want? Why is he following us?"

They crossed the road and were just about to reach the door when Bette felt something hard hit the back off her head and she crashed to the floor. Disappearing into complete and utter darkness.
