Just The Girl – Chapter Three (a HYD-inspired fic)
"Thanks.." Tina returned Sam’s smile. She didn’t take offense at Sam’s last statement. Sam wasn’t trying to be mean.. she was just stating the truth and Tina knew it. "Look, I better go." Tina pointed to the door, her 30 minute study period was almost done and she needed to go back to her classroom. As much as she felt sad that she had to cut whatever little interaction with Sam she was having, she had an important quiz in her next subject that she had to take. "Bye, Sam." She said as she walked towards the door.
"Bye, Christina Kennard." Sam yawned as she gently laid herself back down on the ground.
Tina watched as Sam opened a book right down the middle and covered her face with it. ‘A Chance Encounter’ Tina smiled as she read the title of the book. How fitting, she thought as her hand twisted the doorknob and opened the door. "Oh, by the way," She said before she stepped inside. "It’s Tina." She smiled brightly as she entered the empty hallway.
"Tina, huh? Nice name." Sam mumbled to herself before she finally drifted back into sleep.

"You’ve been awfully quiet Porter. Is everything okay?" Alice asked as she poured some milk on her coffee. They were supposed to be in class with all the other students.. but being above the law in this school, they decided to cut class and have brunch in the cafeteria instead.
Bette didn’t hear a word that Alice said as she was so lost in her own thoughts. She had a blank expression on her face as she twirled a pen in her right hand and tapped her foot on the marbled floor of the cafeteria in a rhythmic pattern. Her mind kept on replaying the events of this morning.. the coffee.. the stupid brunette.. her wet and sticky hair.. her soiled blouse. But more importantly, a face kept on popping up inside her head all morning.. taunting her and driving her insane. Christina Kennard. Christina Kennard. Christina Kennard. She shook her head in a futile attempt to stop herself from hearing the name of the gutsy blonde inside her mind. For once, she came across a person who did not fawn over her nor showed signs of being afraid or intimidated by her. And as much as it pained her to admit, she was greatly bothered by this.

Bette is on a high and mighty roll and methinks it is the mighty that fall. Time for the little “nobody” with real heart and soul to knock her off her perch.
Oh what Bette gonna do to Tina!
Bette is so funny when she is acting like an overgrown child and throwing a tantrum. Looks like a certain blond is occupying her thoughts these days.
