“I don’t have any plans. Kit and I hadn’t decided yet about leaving Angie. What do you want to do? Do you want to take her? I know you must be exhausted from the trip.”

Angie pipes in whining a bit.

“I want to go with Momma. I want Momma.”

“I am pretty tired but I want her with me.”

Tina saw how exhausted Bette was but knew she would be hard pressed to try to separate the two.

“Look why don’t we all go to my house. You can spend the night. I’ll be there when she gets up. This way you can sleep in a bit. I’ll take you home in the morning and she can go with you then if you want. How does that sound?”

“Yeah that sounds really great Tee. Thank you.”

“Yah you can sleep in my bed. OK Momma?”

“Perfect baby. I will sleep in your bed but no hogging the covers and absolutely no kicking. Got it!!” She grabs Angie and tickles her. “Ready to get going? Let’s say goodnight to Auntie Kit and thank her for having us to dinner.”

Angie runs over to her Aunt and gives her a big kiss and hug. She thanks her for dinner and tells her that she loves her. Kit hugs and kisses her back.

“You are always welcome any time. You know your Momma is pretty tired from her trip so you let her sleep tonight OK. I love you baby.”

    “OK Auntie Kit.”

Bette remembers her NYC souvenir for Kit. She’d brought her a coffee mug with “I LOVE N.Y.”. It was easily accessible so she gets it from her bag and hands it to Angie to give to her aunt.

“Hey Momma where is my gift? Did you buy my angel?”

“Yes honey but its breakable. I had to pack it really good. I’ll get it out when we get home OK?”

“OK guys let’s get going. Kit thank you for everything. Dinner was great as usual. I love you.” Tina says giving Kit a hug and kiss on the cheek.

Bette is the last to give hugs and kisses to Kit. Kit holds on to her a bit longer and a bit tighter. Her big sis always knows when she needs that little extra TLC. They communicate without words. Bette knows she’s expected to give Kit the full rundown on what happened with Jodi when the time is appropriate for them to talk.

“Thank you for taking care of my family for me Kit. I’ll call you tomorrow. I love you sis.”
“Love you too baby sis. I love taking care of all of you so let me do it more often OK?”

With that Tina gathers her family. They load into the car and head home. Once they get there everyone washes up and they get ready for bed. Both Bette and Tina lay with Angie in her bed and they talk a bit. Before too long both Bette and Angie are sound asleep cuddled up together. Tina watches them sleep as she rarely gets to see them like that.

Tina had a lot of questions about Jodi and New York but she wouldn’t pry. She would let Bette tell her when she was ready if at all. Tina was just happy to have Bette home and to have her to themselves for a little while. They had allowed so many lovers to come between them over the years that they hardly ever had times when it was just the three of them.

    1. Thank you so much for the quick update!

I agree with you, It was deservice to the Kennard-Porter family that Angie stayed so much in the background, but in the Netherlands are rules of how many times a child is allowed to act in a show. So maybe in the USA kids are also not aloud to act that much?

But i am glad that Angie plays a big role in your story.

    2. Thanks for releasing me from cliff hanging so quickly :)

Agree wholeheartedly with your Author’s Note and think they could have worked around child actors permitted hours if they had tried. The writers seem to have lost the real essence behind in S5/S6.nd B & T’s characters.

Look forward to more in this story.
