    Labyrinth Revisited Ch. 12

    Previously…

    Tina was now eyeing what
appeared to be what was left of the phone sprayed across the living room floor.
A look of disappointment emerged on Tina’s face. Evidently, Bette hadn’t
changed much and was still able to let her anger get the best of her.

    Bette: (noticing the LOOK)
T, Oh my god I’ve been looking all over for you. I thought that maybe you had
second thoughts about last night and decided to leave again.

    Tina: Second thoughts?
Bette, you’re the one that ruined last night at dinner by totally ignoring what
I had to say and infringe on my comments with yours about how rough your day
    was.

Bette: No T, I mean after
Tonya and Dana’s party. Remember making up? (That famous million-watt smile now
    filled Bette’s face)

    Tina: (Sarcastically)
Bette, I don’t know who you’ve been “making up” with, but it sure wasn’t me.
Besides, the party is tonight. Bette this is so like you to try and change the
focus away from your behavior. Did you think I would just wake up today and all
would be like it was before I left? I told you; I’m just here until I can get a
place of my own. And, by the way, smashing the phone against the wall is such a
clich. Jesus Bette, I thought you were trying to work on your anger issues.

    Tina turned on her heals
and headed back to the guest bedroom, closed and locked the door behind her and
left Bette standing in the living room dumbfounded.

    Bette: What the ***** is
going on here? This isn’t the way it’s supposed to be? I know that Tina and I
    made up last night.

    Bette furrowed her brow as
her eyes danced across the air trying to contemplate what was happening.

    Bette lumbered back to the
bedroom. Feeling slightly deflated, she plopped down on the end of the bed and
let her mind race. She still couldn’t shake the thoughts of the previous
evening’s events out of her stream of consciousness. The images and feelings
that she had experienced had been so vivid. Could they have just been some
delusions that her mind had created as a way of dealing with all of her recent
stress? Were they just part of some elaborate hoax? Or could they just be part
of one giant nightmare? Bette had reached an impasse. She couldn’t think of
anything else to do other than ride this out and see what transpired.

    1. Lovely chapter! Bette has extended an olive branch to Tina and hopefuly Tina will see it for what it is, an apologie of sorts… a away of making amends for all the times she put her job first before the needs of her wife. Thanks a bunch and post real soon.

    2. totally heartbreakin..i have tears in my eyes too..i hope Tina give to Bette and them a second chance..she made a mistake but Tina is doing another…go after your woman Tina…please please psot soon i cant wait for more..great but sad chapter thanks :o(

    3. I know what this is. It’s the old “set them free and they’ll come back to you” stuff. Think it will work b/c Bette seems to be genuine and plus she did tell Tina how she feels about them…she’s not giving up on them but she’s giving Tina the space to find her own self outside of TnB. Yay for Bette!

    4. that was amazing!you made me cry when she said ‘Thank you for forgetting your earring at my gallery that night and coming to retrieve it from my office the next day. It’s one of my fondest memories of us’. Post soon!Tina better run to stop bette from leaving!

    5. Yeah the twist is awesome and it made me cry a little when Bette said all the thing to Tina and leave, hope Tina will think and ask Bette to come back. Ok post soon please, thanks!
