Lara lowered her voice, hoping that Dana would follow suit. “Let’s not fight.” Lara took a long, dramatic breath, put her hands out as if to say, let’s stop this. “What I really wanted to say is I want to be with you and I think it would be so totally romantic if we spent a few months,” she said with a smile, “in the city of love, the city for lovers.”
Dana relaxed, but her arms remained crossed.
“I’m not trying to push you or force your hand, but let me just add this–you can do all the European tours, fly back to the States to tour here, they have great clubs in and around

Dana grimaced. “Please, I do not want to think about my brother in the middle of gay Par-eeeee hooking up with some clove-smoking French guy in tiny, tight European shorts, carrying a long baguette.”
Lara laughed. “The baguette? Is that a euphemism for something?”
Dana’s eyes went huge and she looked at her in shock. “Yuck. So yuck.”
Lara knew that Dana wasn’t going to make a decision today, but she gave her something to think about. It would be revisited later. “Anyway, I don’t want to keep you from your run.”

Bette is truly a sweetheart. Can’t you let Tina wake up earlier? Must we go through the whole pain of season three again? My heart is aching… Great writing!

Tina is remembering the love that she shared with Bette during the good times. Can Bette help Tina to return to her and Angelica who she has never met? Bette needs Tina so much and she is showing her all of her love. Hopefully this will continue to pull Tina out and back into Bette’s arms. Just do me a favor and don’t lead this into the man thing with Tina. Not into that at all.
This is so beautiful, I don’t know what else to say. Wonderful, mystical, skillful, transcendental, all these things. The ongoing dramas of Alice/Dana and Bette with Tina are involving in and of themselves, then when Bette arrived the story took off to an entirely unexpected place and deeper level. You are so very talented, but I didn’t know you were capable of such mastery, such subtlety, such peace. This is one of the best, surely one of the best ever written for this site. Namaste.
