“For her own good she hasn’t eaten in days!”

“She will turn from sour mood.”

“She will not! I ask now which one of us is being untruthful?”

“I am not entitled to give reason for decisions made regarding the well-being of my kingdom!”

“Agreed mother as seeing your precious kingdom take precedence over your own flesh and blood.”

“Daiya! Tend your words in my presence!”

“There is a war raging on beyond these walls and yet you manage to bring them into our home!”

“I’ve done no such thing, although my decision appear to be brutish in nature understand the intent it carries, “she says raising her voice.

“Intent, “Daiya says looking upon her mother for the first time in shame, “It is I who bore shame to you and this house Dana the mere opposite of I has done nothing but play dutiful daughter yet the one thing she truly desires you tear away from her why!? Forcing her into a marriage knowing her heart lays with another!”

“Would you rather I marry you instead?” Her mothers response caused something dark to rise inside of Daiya. Although, angered by her bold choice of words Queen Maia had come to expect it. Daiya since she was a child frequently lashed out speaking her mind at will. She always turned a deaf ear as she believed her daughter to be mad cursed by the Gods themselves. Even when threatened with the harshest of punishments she did not fear her mother. Dana on the other hand was easily persuaded by their mothers often manipulative words. With her sister being held against her will and her mothers idle threats she was now absent regard of her behavior and words.

“Is that a threat mother, “she says slowly rising to her feet, “As I can assure you if I am forced to marry my new wife would be a dead wife worthy of nothing more than a speck upon distant shore.” The tone and matter to which she spoke caused the hair on the back of her neck to rise. As if what she already knew of her daughter hadn’t been confirmed, it had been now her daughter had gone completely mad.
