“Ate!” She managed to say. Hearing her name the blue panther roared loudly in response. Turning her attention from Selene to Alani she began to sniff her. Selene looking on in silence fought to contain her excitement. She had been around Ate long enough to know, this type of behavior she would soon rip the blonde woman to shreds. She was thankful to the Gods for Ates arrival as it would be her to still Alani’s life. Now at her neck Ate lingered still inhaling her scent, it wasn’t long before she began licking the stream of blood that spilled from her mouth onto her neck.

“Ate come, “she commanded walking towards her. To her surprise she stood on her hind legs flashing her massive fangs in an aggressive stance.

“Ate, it is I Selene, “she calmly says taking a few steps back. The aggressiveness Ate showed towards her caused fear to arise, never in the many years she had known her or stood beside her in battle had she shown such aggressive behavior towards her. With Jaeil nowhere in sight she feared Ate would cause her harm. Seeing Selene back down Ate turned her attention back to Alani. It was when she began licking her face, Selene realized she had no intentions of attacking the blonde woman, she was protecting her. If she didn’t know anybody better each time she licked or sniffed her it was as if she was familiarizing herself with her scent. Using the giant rock as leverage Ate dips her head and uses her body to lift Alani off the ground onto her back. Lying face down Alani’s body draped over her. Glancing at Selene once more Ate balancing Alani on her back quickly disappears into the night. As Ate placed great distance between them a greater fear washed over her. Alani still lived, disobeying an order set forth by Jaeil if word reached her she made attempt on her life it was her life that would be stilled.

Using her instincts and scent it wasn’t long before Ate stood outside the shop using her paws to scratch at the door hoping to awaken Sammaria. Hearing the strange noise Sammaria awakens grabbing a small dagger for protection she walks slowly towards the door. Peering out of the small window she believed her eyes had deceived her. Ate at her door this late in the evening? It couldn’t be! As she decided to act on her first instinct and ignore her un-expecting visitor something caught her eye. Someone or something laid across her back and it wasn’t until she saw the blonde hair her heart began to beat frantically against her chest.
