If Bette needed a lift to therapy, Shane would be there to assist.  Shane actually liked being needed by Bette.  In a way it was helping Shane deal with some of her own demons.  Bette was becoming that sister, the family that Shane needed.  They talked about everything, that is everything but the gang.  After therapy Rachael and Shane would always have a little verbal sparing session.  Shane trying to get Rachael to coffee and Rachael trying to figure out what she was attracted to in this waif of a woman, these rounds of friendly banter would always end up with Bette playing a playful referee.

Bette: "When are you two going to give me a break?"

Shane and Rachael together: "What do you mean?"

Bette: "Ok, OK why dont I take both of you to coffee? Come on what could that hurt? Im getting better so Rachael, I really dont think of you as my Shrink but much as my friend and Shane, I owe you. What do you say?"

Rachael: "I really don’t want to get ahead of ourselves but maybe in the future."
And with that she turned and started to walk down the hall. See you next week.

Shane: "Cool idea Bette, thanks we will have to try again next week. But just out of curiosity, where were you going to take us?"

Bette: "Well, I could take you to my place, coffee is something I can make and not kill someone with the final results. But really I hadnt thought about it, I just sort of went with the thought as it came to me. Why?"

    Shane: "I was just wondering?"

Bette: "There are many coffee places in this town, so no if you were wondering I wasnt thinking of the Planet."

Shane: "You know you will have to hook up with the gang at some point. Right?"

Bette: "Well see. There was no point in arguing with Shane now so Bette was just going to let this go."

    1. Love how Shane and Kit is by Bette side. One older in years and one young but very wise in hurt and heartache. So glad that Bette is loving painting. You can lose your self in painting. thanks
