Let It Happen – Chapter V
Both Bette and Tina beamed. Yet another adjustment made by Ric to make the night even more special!
Before turning to leave, the driver reminded Bette to use the small flip-phone Ric gave Bette to get in touch with him, whenever they were ready to head towards the next destination of the evening.
Tina was excited about going on the ride. She grew up loving amusement parks, and was looking forward to this one. She was tingling with excitement, and high expectations that this was going to be a memorable one.
“You’re simply the best, baby,” she told Bette softly, leaning in for a kiss as they turned to walk towards the Ferris wheel. Bette smiled, and obliged her with a quick one. Bette was excited also, but slightly worried about how well she could maintain her self-control. Their passion was bubbling just below the surface now, ignited by increasingly urgent kisses, particularly during the river ride. Bette had struggled for self-control, and she had almost given in to Tina’s eyes imploring her to touch the blonde’s body in her most intimate areas, while they were out in the river, enveloped privately in the darkness, looking out at the romantic lights of the city.
They walked up to the operator, who smiled while taking their tickets, and opened the doors of one of the lit golden carriages that glided smoothly into place in front of Bette and Tina.
They got in, and Bette threw a blanket over their knees, to keep them warm. The operator shut the door, and the carriage glided forward smoothly, and then began an upward ascent to the night sky.
As the carriage began to transport them upward, seemingly from nowhere, music began to float into the darkness of the carriage: first, a soothing beat combined with synths and guitars, then followed a few chords later by a haunting voice. “Lights…. at…night…” the song began. Bette recognized the song from Freezepop. Ric had chosen the perfect song for the ride.
Tina was enjoying the music, too, and snuggled into Bette’s warm frame, as they both looked out into the twinkly atmosphere of the City of Lights. She was reflective. The day, then the night, couldn’t have been more perfect. She had never, ever, had a day like this. She was beyond happy, and was giddy really, about how well it had all gone.
