Alice looked at everyone pointedly, arms folded in front of her.

“It’s ok,” Tina said, smiling at everyone, “It’s her feeding time, anyway.”  Alice was not convinced, still eyeing everyone accusingly.

“Ok with everyone if I feed her out here?” Tina asked, not wanting to make a scene.

“Of course!” the girls responded. “Are you kidding?”

“Not every day you see a hot blonde baring her breast out here in the middle of the Planet,” Shane said, laughing as Alice spanked her arm. Carmen hit her other arm, with a little more sting.  Shane bent to kiss her.

Tina shook her head, as she bent to pick up Angelica.

“Sorry Shane, you won’t see much action from here,” Tina responded dryly, as she unhooked her bra from inside her blouse, then drew Angelica close to one breast, covering the infant with the flap of her blouse as the baby latched onto Tina’s breast.

Alice pulled a chair out for Tina, who nodded at her gratefully as she sat, holding Angelica across her body while doing so.  They all pulled their chairs out noisily at first, then as quietly as possible, as Alice looked at them with one finger pressed to her lips in the universal “Quiet!” signal.

“So I called Tina to come out here,” Kit began, as they all settled in. “I got a call from Mike about Bette,” Tina looked at her sharply, drawing a breath in.  Her heart began to pound.  Unconsciously, she drew Angelica closer.

“Mike told me that she was in Colombo…”

“Colombo, Sri Lanka?!” Helena asked, in surprise.

“Yes, over there,” Kit nodded. “She was enroute somewhere, but she didn’t say where, exactly.  She just wanted me to know that she was safe, and that she had been in the middle of some village in Bangladesh over the past month, helping a group out there teach basic business skills to poor women.”

“Wow,” Alice said. “Our Bette’s turned into some Mother Teresa or something.”

“Al, will you please just let Kit continue with her story,” Dana said exasperatedly, but with affection.  She leaned over to give Alice a quick kiss.

“Anyway… I also wanted to share that I had been in contact with her before.  More directly…”

“What?!!!” everyone shouted simultaneously, nearly jumping out from their chairs.
