    Life: Altered 03.35 ~ Chance

    Life:
    Altered 03.35 ~ Chance

Tina‘d had a long day, meetings, getting to
know new people at the Alphaville office’s.
Getting her new office in order, what a mess.  She’d been stressed the whole way home, but
then half way there, the weight started to lift.  She was going home, to a family.  She smiled to herself, turning up the music
to some pop song, thinking that Daisy would hate it.

She pulled her car into the empty parking space and quickly made her way to the
    apartment and heard Cass

on the other side of the door.

“…then you get suspended!”  Cass growled and Tina opened the door, dropping her keys on
    the floor, and saying.

“Suspended!”  Tina almost yelled, and Cassandra was
standing in front of the couch, a very calm Daisy sitting cross-legged on the
    couch.
    Tina
had just walked in the door, to a very irate
Cassandra, asking 100 questions a minute and not getting any answers it seemed.  This just got her more and more angry by the
    passing moment.

“Yes.  She was selling contraband.  Thank you Daisy for reaffirming my decision
to take you out of New Dawn.”  Cass
said, crossing her arms and Daisy sat, totally stoic
    as Cassandra ranted.

“Contraband?”  Tina asked, getting an odd feeling in the pit
of her stomach.  She genuinely liked
Daisy, but the girl seemed ***** bent on self-destruction.
    Tina
looked at her, and Daisy just sat there, pretending
that Cassandra’s tirade wasn’t bothering her.

“Yes.  MP3′s, CD’s.  Cigarettes and matches.  So she’s suspended for one month.  One whole month!”  Cassandra stated rubbing her face and the
green-rimmed blue eyes shimmered in anger.

“It’s not that big…”  Daisy began her
voice very calm, and cool.  Cass
cut her off, flustered, her red haired tempter
    flaring.

“Isn’t it?  Yes it is!  I just got you, and you go pull something
like this?  Don’t you think DHS is going
to find out?  They are going to come
here, and take you into foster care Daisy!
You can’t do these things!  You
    have to be responsible….”  Cass
began, flustered and she tugged her hair out of the ponytail,
    rubbing her temples.

“Ok, Cass calm down.”  Tina began, moving to her and Cass pulled away, to angry to be touched.  She regretted the move instantly and reached
    out to
    Tina
, touching her quickly and Tina gave her a soft reassuring smile.

    1. That reference to “Angel” was funny, and yeah Tina is right. I feel so hurt for Daisy, she’s a really troubled child on so many levels. I’m happy Tina is such a good friend to her, I would want her as my mother any day!
