Chapter 24

One month later, it’s getting close to the holidays. Tina is able to walk again, although she’s still limping. Her arm is almost completely healed, it’s looking good. The doctors has said that she will make a full recovery with her leg as well. The tip from the doctor is to walk, so everyday after school she and Bette, when she’s available, takes walks around the neighbourhood. Bette has moved back to her house, they decided to still live apart, but see each other as often as they could, so different places when they needed space from each other.

Tina just got home from school, Bette was waiting on the steps to her apartment.

“Hey babe.” Tina says as she makes her way over to Bette.

“Hey Tee. How’s your day been?” Bette asks as she leans in for a kiss.

“I’ve been missing you, other than that, it’s been great.” Tina replies with a smile and a kiss.

“So, I’ve been thinking about something.” Bette says as she puts her arm around Tina’s shoulder.

“About what?” Tina asks.

“Let’s get inside first, I brought dinner, Mexican.” Bette says and picks up the paper bags as they pass by and walks into the apartment.

“I love Mexican. Let me just get out of these clothes. We’re on for a walk later?” Tina asks.

“Off course, I brought my training gears, it’s in the car. I’ll get it later.” Bette says. “Go change, I’ll set up dinner.” Bette says.

Tina is gone for 5 minutes and Bette smiles as she walks back.

“You’re walking so much better now than only a week ago, do you feel it too?” Bette asks.

“Yeah, it’s not hurting as much like it did before either.” Tina replies.

“Great. So, drinks, what do you want?” Bette asks.

“I think I have a couple of beers in the fridge. You want?” Tina asks as she takes a seat by the table.

“Sure, I can take a beer.” Bette replies. She walks over to the fridge and gets it.

“So, what was it that you wanted to talk to me about?” Tina asks.

“Well, Christmas actually.” Bette says as she walks back to the table and takes a seat.

“Oh, sure, what about it?” Tina asks.
