    Life Happens: Blackpool Take Two

The question of ghosts was settled by Helena’s daughter, in the end.

Bette had barely a moment to speak to her girlfriend when she re-entered their rooms.  Helena was furious at her.

But when she was angry, Helena had a funny habit of becoming amorous.

Bette didn’t mind, so long as they talked things through later.  For starters, she would allow Helena to tear off her cloths and throw her onto the bed, and she would do whatever it took to wipe the hurt expression from her partner’s eyes.

They were, of course, interrupted. Helena flung herself onto the bed with a groan.

“Mummy?” A small voice, recognizable as Jun Ying though it was as high and uncertain as Wilson’s, echoed from the doorway to the small rooms off the main one.

“Oops.” Bette scurried to her feet and threw on a robe, then made her way toward the obviously distraught little girl. Helena watched, almost dumbfounded at the way Bette took care of the situation, without waiting for the ‘real mom’ to go first. “You all right sweetheart?” Even the bit of English lilt to her voice was endearing.  Helena flumped back onto the bed and stared at the ceiling while she listened to the two of them speaking down the hallway.

“I dreamt that this person was in my room…” Jun Ying’s words echoed faintly. “Actually, I wasn’t dreaming, I was awake.”

“Well…” Bette thought it over, sinking onto her heels to regard the girl at eye level. “What did they want?” This was ridiculous, but she would see where it was going—purely power of suggestion of course.

“Oh, nothing much. Just to talk.” Jun Ying thought it over. She leaned into Bette’s embrace, her cheek on her shoulder. She’s always liked this woman, going back to the time Bette had played with her and her brother in her pool while her mother had had some confusing conversation with her.  But now she started to think of Bette as another parent.

Helena stood back, watching and waiting to see where she was needed.  She decided that tea was in order and went off to make it, comfortable with Bette’s handling of the situation.

    2. Bette and I like Hel in a thong,But the use of the scarves is just wrong,I like my love pure,This is for sure,And it’s best when it’s danced with a song!

    3. Hey there Hels, had read the other chapter but saw this new chapter and now will post,,,,,I do believe in ghosts and oh I am so waiting what will happen with those scarfs too!!

    4. She says to me, zheese, I ain’t just a tease, I’ll use a good scarf, Just to make you barf, S & M’s what I like, if you please. ROTFLMAO HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA! pFFFFt :D

    5. Helena should learn to be as open minded about the supernatural as Bette appears to be regarding things fetishy. I can’t claim to have seen a ghost, but there was the time that person about 40 yards away managed to disappear in the time it took to glance at my friend and then back again. On a steepish hill with deepish snow, hard to run. And then there was the time I looked up from my magazine to see something in mid air by my feet. I had thought it was a moth, but when it suddenly fell to the couch it turned out to be a 1991 penny. Not scary, but certainly disconcerting when you’ve been told all your life that such things can’t happen. If the much more earthy leather products help Helena get past her addiction to expensive brands, I’m all for it. After all, a Peabody shouldn’t be so nouveau riche that she’d a label to get her hot.

    6. There once was a leather clad mistress, for pleasure she brought with her distress. Boots so high, up to her thigh, they both gave a cry as toys employed did their business.

    7. Scarves, whips, chains and restraints/Float some peoples’ boats to be sure/Some call it neat, others say nasty/Just remember your safe word and avoid/ Catastrophe

    8. There were two women named Helena and Bette/hotter and sexier they just could not get/but in the fic they were going to play/no whips, scarves or chains, no SM, throw it away/and ready for the romantic smut we will get!

    9. ok, so MAYBE i’ve had one too many glasses of wine but i want to know who is going to write a Dr. Strangelove/L word crossover????????? It could be called ‘Burn, Hollywood, Burn’ and maybe Tina could ride the bomb on its way down? funnyone, you write it!

    10. Perhaps I’ve not yet had enough wine, yet I like the imagery. I definitely need to be more intoxicated to fuse Slim Pickens, Sterling Hayden, and Peter Sellars with Jennifer Beals, Laurel Holloman, and Rachel Shelley. In no particular order. Much more intoxicated.

    11. Hello HB, Am liking this tortured tale. Now I really can’t wait to find outr what Helena has purchased and how she intends to use whatever these items may be. With Angelica away with her other mother, I am sure that Wilson and Jun Ying will need to do the same soon. This would leave Bette and Hell-Kat with som e glorious free time to do with what they may. Unless of course, the ghost reappears and gets everyone a fright. Thank you for this hot and inticing tale. Can’t wait for the next installment. Many thanks from Your Loyal Fan.

    12. i forgot to write in my last post, that i appreciate any info on blackpool that i can get, since i will be heading there for the l word convention from sunny florida. can’t wait for more!!!!

    13. lalalalalala… I’m late… and well I am most definitely creative enough to offer you some kind of limerick… thats way above my level LOL… woooo hoooo I am just so happy to see you back and back and back… with awesomeness… I super love how Bette handled that whole Ghost situation… it was so cool… she is so cool… no wonder Helena is with her cause they are so cool… and HOT… wooooo hooooo… whips… chains… leather and lace… wow this is turning into something scorching… I’m game… if their game :P… wooooo hoooo… mucho love and hugs, Justin
