Chapter 6 of Life Savers

After Bette showered and got ready they headed to the Planet. They walked hand-in-hand into a busy restaurant with people adorning tables all over the room. They had to pass by the long line of people waiting at the counter to order since it was now lunch time. Tina walked with Bette back towards an office where she guessed she would meet Kit. Bette knocked but didn’t wait for a reply before she opened the door. When the door was pushed open they saw Kit sitting in her leather chair talking on the phone. Kit waved and said hello to them before returning her attention back to the caller. Bette let go of Tina’s hand so she could take a seat in front of the desk and Bette took the seat next to hers. They waited for Kit to wrap up her call and then talked to her.

Kit: “Hey baby girl. How are you and who is this lovely lady?” She said as she stood and came from behind the desk to greet them.

Bette: “Hey Kit. I’m fine and this is Tina Kennard. Tina this is my sister Kit.”

Tina: “Hi it’s so nice to meet you.” She said as they shook hands.

Kit: “It’s nice to meet you too, hun.” She said to Tina. “So what are you two doing here?” She then said to Bette.

Bette: “Kit she’s a big fan of yours and when she found out that we were related she talked me into introducing you two.” She smiled at them both.

Tina: “I love your music. I’m a huge fan of yours.” She smiled at Kit.

Kit: “Why thank you girl. That’s so sweet.”

Bette: “When I told her last night I thought she was going to make me take her to meet you then.” She said smiling at Tina.

Tina: “Ugh, I was not that bad!” She defended.

Kit: “Last night huh? What were you two doing last night?” She wondered since she hadn’t known Bette to have a morning after, especially not a lunch after which is what right now was.

Bette: “We went and ate at O’Bar Restaurant and then we went back to her place.”
