Okay hold on Im trying to find her towel

Bette was digging through the hallway closet looking for Lizs beach towel. It was her first day of swim class and they were running late. Liz was prancing around the living room in her new swimsuit while Tina gathered up her sunscreen and goggles and Bette was searching all over for her damn towel.

Ah hah!

She finally found it and a few minutes later they were out of the house headed towards the local pool. Bette and Tina decided that since they had a pool in the backyard it would be best for Liz to learn how to swim as a safety precaution. Twenty minutes later they made their way into the parking lot and soon they had unloaded everything and were walking into the pool area. There were about ten little kids like Liz running all over the place near the shallow end of the pool while about fifteen teenagers hung out near the deep end. Bette and Tina looked at each other as a young man and young woman approached the group of little kids. Tina was a little hesitant about the whole swimming idea to begin with and when she saw how young the instructors were she felt another wave of anxiety wash over her. She gently pulled on Bettes arm so she would lean closer.

Dont worry TIm sure it will be fine

Bette wrinkled her brow a little as Liz ran towards the group. The two instructors smiled at the group and introduced themselves.

Hi everyoneIm Tommy and this is Taylor. Are you guys ready to get wet?

YAY!!!

All the kids screamed and Taylor laughed. Bette couldnt help it but she noticed how attractive Taylor was and she shook her head and smiled a little. Tina saw the look on her face and she smacked her playfully.

Dont even think about it

Bette grinned like a Cheshire cat as Tina shook her head and she laughed at Bettes antics. A year ago Tina would have felt a slight tug of insecurity, but after all theyd been through and now that they had Liz and one more on the way Tina knew where Bettes heart was at 100%. Bette and Tina joined the rest of the parents who were seated at the benches near the pool and took a seat as they watched their daughter throw herself into her swimming lessons.

Tommy and Taylor were standing in the waist high water facing the row of three and four year olds that stood before them. The first thing they were doing was showing them how to move their arms in circular motions to simulate a swimming stroke. All the parents laughed in appreciation at their children who looked more like they were trying to fly rather than swim. Some of the kids were able to control their arms better than others, and without fail, Liz was one of the ones who looked like she was ready for take off rather than submersion.

Great job guysokay lets get in the watereveryone line up next to Taylor

The kids scrambled to form what was supposed to be a single file line but turned out to be more like a huddled bunch eagerly waiting to get into the water. Taylor kept the kids in order while Tommy positioned himself to be ready to catch the first kid. It was their belief that kids shouldnt be afraid of the water so instead of having them get into the pool slowly, they were going to jump in. Of course if the kid really protested they werent going to force them, but both Tommy and Taylor agreed that the best way to learn to like the water was jump right in. The first girl to go was a four year old named Vanessa. She took one look at the water and went running for her mommychicken thought Liz as she watched her run. The boy in front of her jumped in no problem and then it was her turn. Liz took a step forward and peered into the water before taking a small step back and looking up at Taylor.

Liz looked hesitant at first so she looked around for Bette and Tina. Both mommies smiled at her and that must have instilled some sort of fearlessness in her because Liz took one more look at Bette and Tina and grinned. She bent down and jumped as hard as she could into the water almost knocking Tommy off balance. Tina jumped up when she saw Lizs head go under the water and it took all of Bettes strength to hold her back and calm her down.

Shes okay Trelaxtheyve got her

Tina wasnt hearing any of that though as she jumped up and ran down to where Taylor was standing. She grabbed Taylor by the arm and swung her around.

WHAT THE ***** DO YOU THINK YOURE DOING? SHE COUL D HAVE DROWNED YOU KNOW!!! SHES ONLY THREE AND A HALF YEARS OLD!!!

Taylor looked absolutely startled and Bette ran over to where Tina was confronting her and pulled her away as best as she could. She shot Taylor an apologetic smile as she guided Tina back to the bench. A few of the parents looked at Tina like she had lost her mind and Bette was doing her best to calm her upset wife down.

Tshhhhyou cant get all upset like that okay? They know what theyre doingit will be okay

Did you see that Bette? They let her just jump into the water like thatwho knows if she was going to be okay?

Bette pointed in Lizs direction and Tina looked over at her with a worried look. Liz was squealing and laughing as she splashed around in the water with the other kids. Tommy and Taylor were showing the kids how to blow out underwater and the parents were laughing as the kids blew bubbles and managed to inhale about as much water as they were exhaling. Liz was dunking her head and Bette and Tina watched on with smiles on their faces as their daughters head bobbed up and down like a buoy. An hour later Lizs lesson was over and the three of them headed home with Liz talking Bettes ear off about how much fun she had today. As soon as they got home Liz made a beeline for the pool and Bette hurried after her just in case. Liz ran right out to the edge of the pool and hesitated as Bette called out to her.

LIZ WAIT

Liz stopped like deer caught in the headlights and Bette laughed at Lizs antics. Tina was standing and watching from the doorway and she laughed.

Babe youd better change before she gets in there by herself

SPLASH

Bette turned around quickly to find Liz in the shallow end of the pool wandering around in about chest high water. Oh brother here we go with just one more thing to worry about, thought Bette as she went and changed into her bikini while Tina watched Liz. As Bette came back out Tina laughed.

Bette just shot her a look as she got into the pool and entertained Liz and made sure she knew what she was doing. A few hours later Bette and Liz got out of the pool and after such a long and exhausting day playing around in the water Tina came out of her shower and laughed when she saw them. There on the couch were her wife and her daughtercompletely passed out.
