Tina grabbed her jacket as she ran out of the house. Bette and Tina were going to Tinas doctors appointment before going to pick Liz up from her day of tennis with Dana. Tina gave Bette a sheepish smile as she got into the car. Bette just gave her a quick smile before starting the engine and heading to Dr. Wilsons office. They parked quickly and walked into the office a few minutes before their appointment. Within minutes they were shown into an office where Tina changed and got into the stirrups as Bette took a seat next to her. Dr. Wilson came in shortly and she smiled warmly at the two ladies.

Hi Tina. How are things?

Good.

Everything feeling okay? No pain or discomfort?

Nope.

Getting those cravings yet?

Oh yeah.

Tina smacked Bette on the arm at her answer and Dr. Wilson just laughed. It never ceased to amaze her how well these two were doing after everything that went wrong the first time around. She did an ultrasound and confirmed that everything was as it should be, much to the relief of both Bette and Tina. She showed Tina the ultrasound.

He looks like a healthy baby boy. Any names yet?

Tina shook her head and looked at Bette. They had been talking about names but nothing had jumped out at them yet so they figured they would just wait and see what they came up with. Dr. Wilson talked to Tina a little more about how she was feeling and how things were going with Liz.

Oh shes great. Shes so excited to have a baby brother.

Well just make sure to keep an eye on her. A lot of times older siblings dont really understand the impact of having a younger sibling until its too late.

What do you mean?

Well Bette, imagine what it would be like to be the center of your parents lives for a few years then have something come along and take that away from you. She may react in a number of ways, or she may not react at all. Just make sure to show her a lot of attention and let her be involved in the process of taking care your baby boy.

Bette and Tina looked at each other with wrinkled eyebrows. They had seen Liz so excited to have a younger sibling it was difficult to see her becoming jealous or anxious about their son. Dr. Wilson patted Tinas knee reassuringly.

Dont worry you two. Sibling rivalry is totally normal. I only brought it up since I know that Liz can be quite a character sometimes and I just wanted to remind you to be prepared for that.

Bette just nodded and took Tinas hand in a comforting grip. Dr. Wilson finished the examination shortly and soon the two women were in the car on the way to pick up Liz. Tina turned to Bette and looked at her thoughtfully.

Babe do you think Liz is going to be jealous of her brother?

No I dont think so. We love her so much and just because were having another baby doesnt mean that well stop loving her.

Tina leaned back in her seat and teased Bette.

What do you know? Youre the youngest childyou WERE the center of your parents universe.

Bette pouted a little at Tinas joke but she was soon smiling and laughing along with Tina. After about twenty minutes they reached the country club were Dana was working with Liz and they could hear her laughing and giggling all the way from the parking lot. They walked up to the courts and went inside to see how Liz was doing.

HAAAAAAAAAAA

Liz swung with all her might and managed to make contact with the tennis ball and sent it flying over the net and almost smacking Dana in the head. She ducked quickly and looked back at Liz with wide eyes.

Good job Liz!

Thanks aunty!

Liz beamed with pride, as she got ready to try and return the ball again. Dana served her a easy ball landing in perfect position to be returned by Liz who looked so determined to do just that. She licked her lips and concentrated hard on hitting the ball. She drew the racket back and swung as hard as she could.

SMACK

LIZ!

Dana ran around the net and was by her side within seconds. Liz had swung so hard and missed the ball that she tripped over her feet and had landed flat hitting the ground hard. Bette was up and across the courts almost as fast as Dana and Tina was right on her heels. Bette picked Liz up carefully.

Honey are you okay?

Liz just looked at Bette with a little confusion in her eyes. She was a little dazed form hitting the ground so hard and she couldnt figure out what was going on and why everyone was staring at her. She smiled at Bette.

Hi mommy.

Lizdid you hurt yourself?

Liz just shook her head and jumped up.

Mommy mommy did you see me hit the ball?

All three ladies looked at her in awe. Kids may be resilient but Liz proved to be quite a tough cookie. Great googly moogly this kid is tough, thought Bette as she picked her three-year-old up. Liz dusted herself off and grabbed her racket ready to give it another try. Dana looked at Bette and Tina questioningly but after they gave her reassuring glances she picked up her racket and jogged to the other side of the court ready to serve her again. She waited until Liz looked ready and after a big smile from Liz, Dana hit her a lofty ball once again perfect for hitting.

CRACK

HOLY SH”

Dana had to duck for her life as Liz connected with the ball and also managed to let go of her racket just at the right time to make it fly over the net headed warp speed for her head. Liz cracked up at the sight of Dana scrambling to get out of the way and Bette just watched wide eyed at how much entertainment Liz was getting out of this. Tina laughed as well at her daughter and her friend who looked terrified to stand up and face the little terror who was laughing her ***** off on the other side of the court.

Okay and that concludes todays lesson Liz.

Dana just smiled wearily at Liz who looked disappointed. Dana went over and sat with Bette as Tina went over and comforted Liz.

YeahI like tennis.

She grabbed her racket and followed Tina over to where Bette and Dana were sitting. They talked for a few minutes until Danas trainer showed up and it was time for her to workout so the Porter-Kennards headed home. On the ride home Liz was babbling about how much fun she had today and Bette and Tina just smiled at their goofball daughter. Bette was thinking about what Dr. Wilson had said about sibling rivalry and she looked at Liz in the rear view mirror. Liz saw Bette looking at her and beamed at her.

Mommy?

Yes sweetie?

Can the baby play tennis too?

Umwell in a few years Lizbut not until hes big like you okay?

Okay

And just like that Liz was on her way again. She tuned her mommies out and thought about how much fun she was going to have with her baby brother. All of a sudden she called out to her mommies.

What is he called?

Who? What?

The babywhat is he called?

Bette and Tina just looked at her and then looked at each other and raised eyebrows at one another. Then Tina had an idea.

Well what do you want him to be called?

Liz thought long and hard about what she wanted the baby to be called and then it came to her.

Ummmmm.how about Frank?

Bette looked at Tina and raised an eyebrow. She didnt want her son named Frank.

Oh oh oh I knowChester!

Tina looked at Bette and raised an eyebrow. She didnt want her son named Chester.

OH OH OH NO WAIT.I got it. Sky!

Bette and Tina looked at each other and smiled. They liked that name. Tina turned around and looked at Liz.
